Why do you keep talking about this?

The conversation was free throw attempts

Sure, let's go back to that conversations then.

I think it started with:

"Lol Reaves is 10th in free throws since March 1st" amongst guys like Embiid and Giannis.

But then when pointed out that over the season he doesn't even crack the top 50 you "lol'd" at the fact I mentioned guys like Ivey make more than him.

So what exactly are we "lol-ing" at?

Or are we still stuck at THE REFS ARE HELPING THE LAKERS?

Since March is not an insignificant stretch. It's 20 games. The 9 guys ahead of him are elite players.

And then you went and compared him to Jaden Ivey which is less absurb...but damn close considering Ivey is one of the fastest players in the league.

Reaves IS a better defender though.

I compared his free throw attempts. And other season stats, which again, aren't that different.

You threw athletic ability in there for some reason.

We just did this dance 2 weeks ago, no?

I’m okay with rewarding aggression.

Bron, AD…..

I don’t have a problem with the refs giving them the benefit of the doubt, they earned it.

But, Reaves?

Firstly, Lets not pretend he isn’t legitimately being fouled on some of those drives.

He is.

It’s the 50/50 calls that lean more towards charges that are bewildering.

Dude is out there dipping his shoulder into the defenders chest and BOWLING them over like he’s Giannis or Shaq.

Still, that’s on the officials, not Little Country.

They put a stop to the Harden foul fuckery.

So, I expect this to get sorted too at some point.

That's why I call him WalMart Ginobili. If you remember, folks said a lot of the same things about Ginobili at first. He has an unusual style that puts the onus on the refs to make a call. In the NBA, those calls are going to favor the offensive player more often than not.

The difference between guys like Ginobili and Reaves and Harden is that Harden was doing his stuff on jumpers and 3's while Ginobili and Reaves did/do their thing in the paint against bigger players.

Some of the calls Reaves gets are pretty borderline, as I said, more often than not, the offensive player is going to get the call.

Just to make the debate even more ROFL

Austin Reeves average since March 1 would place him 10th in the NBA in Free Throws per game

The other 9

Giannis
Embiid
Luka
SGA
Tatum
Butler
Ja
Lillard
Trae

Naturally the next up is Austin Reeves

4 outlier games. Take them out of the mix and where does land? Not close to that list.

As I said earlier. I fully admit the BIG gives OSU a friendly whistle

Much like the Lakers they are a cash cow. The NBA is more interesting with LA in the playoffs with Lebron than not.

It's okay to soak it up with the proceeds LA has brought the NBA.

But I will be God damned if I'm gonna sit here and have you tell me Austin Reaves is the same as Jaden Ivey on a basketball court.

Or a Tyrese Maxey.

Either of those 2 would've been averaging 10 free throws a game with this stretch.
Straw men everywhere. Nobody is saying Reaves and Ivey are the same.

Reaves is 54th in FTA for 22/23.

Take out his 4 outlier games (10 or more FTA) and he drops to about 66th (with Bane, Dort, Rozier).

You all are missing the obvious argument

The league wants LA in the playoffs.

Reaves goes from 3 FTA to 7 or 8 in the stretch

Your “evidence” is just you posting that which we say has been begotten by bull shit haha.
Reaves is tied for 4th in the league at drawing charges at .3/game, behind Love, Brunson, and Bev (and tied with Hardaway Jr).
