Amir Abdur-Rahim has done a really job at Kennsaw State. Check this out.....

1-28
5-19
13-18

Culminating in 26-9 and an NCAA appearance this season.
That is the textbook definition of a total rebuild.....

The obvious solution is a floor and cap but no one wants them both.

I like the idea of a floor. It's one thing if an owner doesn't want to spend into the luxury tax, but when you have one that won't even spend enough to have at least a somewhat competitive team...they shouldn't have a franchise.

I'm on the fence about a cap. I can see just about as many reasons not to have one as there are to have one.

The only reason that matters is owners will never agree to a floor without a cap

Of course but no way we get a floor without a cap
MLB owners don’t want a cap

Not really

If the current cap tracked revenues it would be $300m and that means the floor would be 90% of that, or $270m

You and Jay Bilas

Thats why tournament pools are so much about luck. That dude has watched more college hoops than just about anyone on the planet.
Especially now (it's luck). Used to be a time a 12 seed beating a 5 was a big deal as the 5 seeds were often a lot better and big favorites. Now the 5 is anywhere from a 2-7 point favorite it seems.

I get fucked every year knowing about the 5/12 thing and then always pick the wrong 12s to advance. I shouldn’t have even done anything I’m so disconnected. I’m just a donation
Honestly, I cannot believe anyone still follows this for a couple reasons. One I mentioned earlier.....A 5 beating a 12 not that big a deal anymore as those teams are usually much closer in talent than they used to be. Second, is what you said. Pick one and getting the wrong one is a double whammy.

I shut down on college hoops when OSU took a vacation from playing most of the year.

I'm sure I will end up sucking. Just a decent opening 8 games

I did go in on Arkansas on one bracket. How the hell a college team has 3 first rounders and is an 8 seed is beyond me. 2 of them lotto guys.
Guessing the BIG tourney run saved Holtman's job (or his extension did). I don't hate it because of his upcoming recruiting class...but man he needs to go a little further in a tourney soon.

Less of a gap than ever before between the top teams and the rest of the pack.

The best players are often inexperienced freshmen, and there is a just a bigger player pool out there for D1 coaches to draw from.

If there’s one player in the league that would be the perfect dude to swap out for Tobias Harris in the Sixers group it’s Harrison Barnes. You can’t do a three way deal in a sign and trade can you?
Maybe? I think 3 teams were involved when we acquired Markkanen from Bulls. Nance went to Portland and someone else (and picks) I believe went to the Bulls.
