It's the only way it has a chance of working. The question is whether or not he will accept that. The Lakers tried that a few times and he sulked and complained.

The Lakers also had no choice but to play him in the 4th, especially when AD was out, because they lacked depth. The Clippers don't have that problem.

Lue isn't a rookie HC like Ham, so maybe Russ will be less likely to challenge him? Hard to imagine someone with Russ' ego accepting sitting out during the most important part of the game though.
Thinking it may work because of Lue....

Him snapping at Lue was because he is a rookie HC and he doesn't respect him. Despite, Ham trying to make it work.

I’m so indifferent about him with the Clippers.

They are fucked with, or without, him.

He does some things that they desperately need.

Most importantly, he is trying to be what they want and is giving his all.

No complaints, so far.

They we’re a broken franchise long before he signed.

As @shopson67 pointed out, he had a honeymoon period with the Lakers.

At least with the Clippers, he's not taking the ball out of the hands of a better playmaker like he was at times with the Lakers and Lebron. In theory, if he can keep himself somewhat under control, he could actually open up more opportunities for PG and Kawhi.

I don't see it working, but I think it has a better chance of working than it did with the Lakers.

No.

But, he wasn’t the reason they lost.

That was careless ass Paul George.

Matter of fact, had Russ not hit that 3 ball, game would have ended way earlier.
Yeah....they are 0-2 with him but it's not on RW.

He has actually played fairly well.

If we still had Russ.....the Mavs game would have been a blowout L.

To be fair, it would have been about more than just Russ. The Lakers wouldn't have the players they currently do and couldn't do things like putting Vanderbilt on Luka which really hurt Luka's effectiveness.

Vanderbilt brings a lot of that same energy that Russ does, but stays in his lane doing it.

Rozier
Dinwiddie
Lowry
Fultz

Not great

Mostly using Morris and bones plus your late first this year as a general idea for what you can offer

Obviously would need more for rozier

Regulation though, and pulled early.
Lillard’s game was probably better, definitely. Pulled at like 1 min up almost 20 points. If not for Portland giving the ball to him up 16 he likely gets 64-66 points. Good for him though

Yep, end of the day, everyone knows who Russ is, including Lebron. For some reason, Lebron thought they could make it work.

After those three got together, they all talked about sacrificing their roles for the good of the team. That was a tough adjustment for Russ to stick to.
