Lakers trade w/ Utah better than any trade they could've made for Kyrie?

Yeah, it improved their defense and made them at least a respectable team from 3, but most important, it gave them depth. The last 2 wins where Lebron and AD were able to play under 30 minutes helps them in games like this when they have to go longer.

...and that might be an actual worst case. They haven't exactly drawn free agents well. I'd love to see them lose Kyrie and gain Harden, lol.

But best case before the trade they had an obvious ceiling. They needed something but most importantly they are showing Luka they are willing to make moves
