This Vanderbilt kid might be more important than Russell or Beas.

He a legit lockdown defender.

He's my favorite of the new guys.

He played some great defense on Luka.

True… but the defense has been an issue all year particularly with Maxi out. And he alone isn’t going to fix things. They can’t continue to play poor defense in the playoffs. They won’t escape the 1st round.

True… but the defense has been an issue all year particularly with Maxi out. And he alone isn’t going to fix things. They can’t continue to play poor defense in the playoffs. They won’t escape the 1st round.

Yeah, picking up Kyrie was great for their offense, but it just added to what was already a strength.

It did nothing to help their defense.

Sure, but that deficit was largely about the huge 3 pt deficit in the first half. When Luka is drilling 3s in the face of good defense, you take your lumps. Now the rest of the 3 pt shooters, there definitely needed to be better defense.
