Hey, what’s all the talk about Westbrook dancing when he was supposedly injured? I saw a video of this Laker fan losing his shit saying he was crip walking into the building….lol

I haven’t seen any video to confirm this though.

I said earlier that this "injury" is just a way to bench him while saving Russ more criticism. Of course, he screws that up too lol.

But, I did not.

Lebron was lethargic, Nunn has been absolute GARBAGE, AD was laboring, Bev is mostly invisible.

Lonnie is the lone bright spot and he had 15 points on 14 shots because he can’t make 3’s.

I don't worry until the deficit is double digits in the 4th. Most games are a series of runs. End of the half into the 3rd things were promising.

I wouldn't say Lebron was lethargic, but for some reason he was trying to get others going and overpassing until the 4th when he put his head down and went into hero-ball mode. Not a great game plan for sure.

Lakers team could VERY VERY easily be something like this if Pelinka and LeBron were not fools:

Hield, DeRozan, LeBron, Davis, Caruso as a core. Plus still have the 2 picks they still have- plus still have a mid level.

-sign DeRozan
-do the Kuzma/KCP trade they did for RW for Hield. Coudl probably have gotten something else in that deal too.
-re-signed Caruso.

That would at least be a team that could do some things.

All they had to do was basically spend some money and not trade for RW.

Trading for Russ was roster crippling.

Not keeping Caruso was the death kneel.

Still, if they nab 2 of Josh Hart, Seth Curry, Bogdanovic, Trent Jr, Turner, Kyle. Kuzma, Dillon Brooks with that 35 mil this Summer, they can get back on track.

But, would they punt on another season when Lebron is just getting older, Davis is getting more gimp?

DeRozan signed for far more than the Lakers available cap space. If a S&T, that takes Kuzma and other pieces out of the mix and gives them a hard cap. Caruso was a management call (and of course ill-advised), they figured they had Westbrook, Rondo and Nunn at the point.

This video speaks to why Russ is not a team player. Completely oblivious to situations around him.

However, Laker fans at least should give Russ a pass here. We all know he could have played last night. Russ being out is GOOD for the Lakers.

So really not fair to criticize him over not playing.

Yeah, the optics are not great.

I think long term, you are correct.

Him sitting is good for them.

If nothing more, it shows management that their problems extend much further than him.

Reeves at least was 2 of 3 from 3pt land. He should prob. get more shots
Lonnie Walker played 30 minutes, was 6/14 for 15 points, a -27 +- and was a "bright spot".
Brown Jr. played 28 minutes.
Nunn played 19 minutes
Toscano-Anderson played 10 minutes
Jones played 12 minutes
Ryan played 9 minutes

as bad as Russ has been- I cannot imagine that he is worse than grabbing 28 minutes from those guys-- I mean- maybe he is. Its just crazy that we are here.

Your Wiz are not a bad team. Pretty solid. Not great- but certainly not bad. I mean they can bring Barton and Haichimura off the bench. A real prospect like Kispert off the bench (when he is healthy). Can bring Johhny Davis off the bench. Barton and Haichimura are legit NBA players. Kispert and Davis are def. higher ceiling guys than anyone the lakers have by a mile.

and that is just some also-ran eastern conference team that will compete for the 6-10 spots.....Id defintely take those 4 bench guys over Lakers next 4 after Davis and LeBron.

Lebron would kill for Haichimura and Barton and a kid that can shoot like Kispert.

LeBron is gonna be 39 in about 6 weeks. He will be 40 the following December. Davis is not exactly healthy.

honestly- I might give it a try in the offseason but if its not looking good- trade LeBron, trade Davis, start the whole thing over---- keep those picks.

That's why they are trying to be patient with a trade, to try to work out a multi-team trade that brings back 2 players that either keep that cap space for next season or are worth keeping in lieu of that cap space.
