This kind of goes with my take, we all think of the people and culture we grew up with as the best, because when you are young these things hit harder and deeper. As you get older you know more but you also don't react as intensely and emotionally to this stuff. So even though LeBron's numbers and diverse skill sets might put him above MJ, anyone over 40 (like Iverson) is not going to feel the way they did about LeBron the way they did about MJ.

And future old people will be telling young people Wembanyama ain't shit compared to LeBron. And future young people will think of MJ they way we think of Bill Russell, some legend that they never saw play.
