He could help a lot of teams.

Including the Cavs.
Fair point....but we didn't pass on him because a player preferred we acquire someone else who was a terrible fit.

Sure, as long as the cost saving rumors are false.

If not?

From what I've read and heard, nothing has changed since Dr. Buss was alive and running things. The Lakers will pay the luxury tax for a contending team.

Additionally, I keep reading on here about all of the players they can't get because of the salary cap, yet they're supposedly trying to cut costs.

Only reason they only won one title
Difference is they didn’t ruin everything. Small moves won’t hurt. Pelinka fucked up and got too desperate instead of taking the right deal. Lebron getting players to resign at higher prices had more impact on Gilbert paying more into the tax.

HUGE difference.

Maybe a little.

Meh, rookie coach who was handed an ill fitting roster and Westbrook.

Giving him a pass until I see what he does with this roster with healthy AD and Lebron and also after we see what he's got to work with next season.

All things considered, he's been solid. If nothing else, he found a way to keep Westbrook from being a complete disaster.
