That's because to you nothing can improve on the pastRead the article, for most of his career he was 215 lb. 10th all time in batting average, give me a break, I really can’t believe the idiotic stances on this.
That’s a great pull.
Just pushing back on your "league average" take. I think he would be much better than that. That is a matter of degree and I honestly don't care either way or want to get down to a specific player comp.
Of course things can improve, you guys are making it sound like the greatest player of all time would be half ass today. You are so wrong and it’s staring you in the face. That's because to you nothing can improve on the past

Well im not saying he would be just as dominant but there was nothing average about him in any era. That article makes an argument for him being the greatest all around player of all time.I think he was the greatest hitter of all time. I think the sport was different when he played and simply assuming that he would be just as dominant today is a pretty dubious assumption

WTF? I didn't say this.
That was weird when you quoted shopson's comment (your # 9,321 comment) I got tagged. But to call LeBron a wuss is just another example of your nonstop dumbfuckery.
No flyerhawk said he'd be half ass. I said he'd be a very good player.Of course things can improve, you guys are making it sound like the greatest player of all time would be half ass today. You are so wrong and it’s staring you in the face.
What the...I don’t think anyone actually believes that.
What I believe is that competition in all sorts is incomparably greater than it was 50 years ago, let alone 100.
Baseball interestingly though has kind of the opposite culture affect as basketball. 100 years ago, Baseball was king among American sport. Kids grew up wanting to be pro ball players. Today, not as much.
But the game is global, athletes are better, and strategy is better.
Babe was certainly good enough to be good today, but it is fair to wonder just how good. Definitely not a lock that he would be a superstar today.
Sorry but I’ll get lockjaw if I tried to say that, he is the great bambino, the sultan of swat, all that stuff they said in the Sandlot movie. No flyerhawk said he'd be half ass. I said he'd be a very good player.
lol , babe Ruth today would be me on an NBA courtI don’t think anyone actually believes that.

Words have meaningsCall him an all-star if that makes if better. That wasn't really the point.
