True but I think he would still be a mid range shooter.....he might have attempted more 3's but I don't see him as a 3-point specialist.

I mean...

He was a scorer.

Curry isn’t a 3 point specialist either.

3 point specialists are guys who shoot 3s and little else, like Duncan Robinson.

If Miller played today he would be among the league leaders in 3s attempted per game.

That was my thought....he isn't a Korver or Robinson type.

No. That is the point.

He said that before the trade. After it went down, he predicted Allen would be the best player in the deal 3 years from now.
Cannot say I saw that one and would definitely disagree with it if Harden is included in his assessment.

Should have never been forced to play with 8 players twice....also with the new nba rules that seems to be changing weekly then the Heat would have had 4-5 games canceled as the NBA did with the Wiz and Grizzlies due to more than 1 covid case...would have been nice

The NBA is at fault for this anyway. I have no proof of this but i'm sure Jimmy and Bradley got covid from the Wizards. That game shouldn't have been played due to Beal close contact with Tatum the night before....but they had beal in the arena on the court a hour or 2 before the game. Likely other Wiz teammates had covid already which passed it on to Bradley and Butler who both played that night in Washington
Frustrating but you being sure isn't something they can go by. Might not like the rules, but seems like they have rules for all teams and follow them, no?

yah.

playing with 8 is kinda crazy

some of the Cavs games where they a crazy lite roster were kinda bullshit. I mean, against hte Knicks Daymean Dotson was playing point guard. Lee Stevens played 21 minutes--- some how the Cavs won that game because Drummond went crazy with 33 and 23

Jazz game they had enough guys--- but a good amount were guys that were called up- or signed to emergency contracts like Ferrell and Bolden....Lee Stevens

Memphis too- they had 9 with Yogi Ferrell--- but missing Love, Sexton, Garland, Windler, Dellavadova, Exum,

this season is just going to be a little crazy.

If the Cavs do indeed keep up this nice little run- looking back on games like that Memphis game where they lost will be annoying.
Issue with us, though, is injuries, not Covid. Don't think they will let anyone postpone for injured guys.

Sexton thus far this season--- 19.5 shots per game- 26.8 pts, 52.3% from the field, 46.8% from 3, 4.2 apg, and 2.4 boards per game.

his defense has actually been much improved thus season too. He actually is really strong- and has a big wing span for his size which should help his defense.

young players so rarely play good defense. I think Sexton has the ability to play pretty solid defense- esp. with how he plays the game.

Garland's defense worries me more. His body isnt like Sexton- he is slimmer, doesnt have quite the wing span.

Only way Cavs can go forward with those 2 guys starting in the back court is with a ++ defensive front court--- and with Nance and Allen they have that potential.

Okoro is only 19 and he is already playing above average NBA defense. He def. needs time to develop the rest of his game- but he wont be asked to score a whole lot.

it is a shame with Porter.

The Cavs need another wing for the long term. That COULD have been porter if he had his head on straight. Osman is fine as a 6th man- but hes not the defensive guy they need. He plays hard and tries on defense and has good size but the physical stuff really isnt there for a defender.

I think the Cavs are a litttle bit of fools gold right now--- since Drummond wont be aroudn long term and he has helped the defense a lot and Allen is only going to play 30 or so minutes a game when Drummond is gone.

Love, Nance, Allen is fine for the front court.

They need another wing. I wasnt that high on Prince when they dealt for him but maybe i should give him more of a chance. His defense is good. He is ahtletic---- his shooting with Brooklyn was done last year.

but i really think whatever the Cavs will be in a year or two- they still need another guy who can be a high impact wing---hopefully they can get a little lotto luck and get in this draft.
Wonder if what we saw last game is a longterm plan......Garland off the bench. They can do it, I think, if Sexton can pass like he did last game. 9 assists not needed, but needs to be in the 4-6 range.

Not sure such a given Drummond is gone as I doubt a team will deplete their roster to match the salary (as how can they still stay good) and doubt the Cavs takes bad a bad contract. Wonder if they think he and Allen can co-exist longterm (or if Drummond wants to)? We know we have an owner who wouldn't be shy about paying both.

Coach K is a 100% asshole.

A student named Jake Pizzia that writes for the dook cronicles had the cojones to ask him what's next for the team after a 3rd straight loss.

Instead of answering the question Coach K belittled the kid because he's a student. He pointedly asked the kid what's his toughest class. Then refused to answer his question.

Keep it classless Mike!

There are quite a few baseball records that aren’t ever going to get broken. That is certainly another.

Wonder if these records will ever be broken?

-Ryan's 5,714 K's
-Joe D's 56 game hit streak
-Ty Cobb's .366 lifetime BA
-Rogers Hornsby's .424 BA in 1924
-18 W.S. hr's- Mickey Mantle

Yeah....Ripken's, I guess, is theoretically possible to beat. For Young? Win 20 a year for 25 years and still not there. That's the only reason I'd put that one ahead. Game will need to change for that one to ever get a sniff.

Like Young's 511, without the game changing I'd say no chance on Ryan's Ks. Other 4 at least possible, but would say least likely is Hornsby's .424.

Is the LOL for your inability to follow your own comments? was talking about your frustration with the NBA toward your team.

You're suggesting the heat players broke protocols when it is obvious to anyone that they caught it from the wizards because the nba was stupid enough to have beal in the arena after being in close contact with tatum the night before. If they wanted that game to be played, Beal should not have been allowed in the arena. That game in reality should have been postponed for contact tracing on the wizards side due to tatum testing positive and beal having an extended conversation with him at the end of the game

End of the day the Heat are three games out of second and their best player got covid and vaccine or not now has some immunity to the virus for a while.

I agree they should have bumped it to 9 however.

I'd go Cy Young's 511....but doubt anyone breaks Ripken's.

First thing I thought of was Complete Games for pitchers.
They just don't pitch like they used to, so K, Wins, all those counting number records will never even be approached again.

Great comment. I was going to say something about what you mentioned.

And with P's no longer having alotta complete games or go much beyond 5/6 inning pitched 300 K's in a season could be a thing of the past as well.

I think 10 is a better number
