Sure. They could have done that.

Do you believe they would have gone that route though?

I don’t.

I mean no because they didn’t even do step 1. Lol

just Saying that was the direction to go.

they could’ve probably gotten a late first for white at last years draft too

Yeah.

We all said at the time it was dumb for the Spurs not to consider the Laker deal.

In hindsight, it might have really screwed the Lakers over if they had dealt him there.

Not really.

I agree that what the Spurs did get was very underwhelming.

But let’s be honest.

The Laker core that went to NO wasn’t getting them anywhere either.
If we are only judging as which deal makes them a title contender I agree, but clearly the Laker deal would have been better. Maybe they could have moved Ingram, Ball or Randle?

i wouldn't
You had better be sure Cade is a superstar if you did as you know at worst SGA is all star caliber talent. Might even take future picks to get it done (not that they don't have enough of those).

Are they giving up SGA in the deal and would you do it if required? Guessing that's what it takes to move all the way down to OKCs spot.

No chance, the thunder have 38 draft picks to plsy with so no. I don’t expect the thunder to move that high, it’s just that the Pistons GM worked under Presti so they have to try.

Zero chance they give up SGA and the Thunder want Mobley.

Yeah, probably not contenders off of that trade, but I think that group with Pop coaching could have been good enough that they could be if the Spurs could pick up a star level player.

Well then you have no package to get the top pick lol

They absolutely do, but they don’t need to move that high. The thunder can likely have any pick they want right now, Presti won’t give up that much though, he will save some bullets.

Any pick they have from Houston is highly valuable.

Exactly, and they have several. You have to think Houston would like to get them back.

Not sure the specifics but those Houston picks are several years out now. That's not very enticing for a top overall.

Next year they have Phoenix, LA. Pass.

Agree. IF those actually making the picks agree with the so-called experts/analysts I don't think they can realistically get to 1 without giving up SGA.

Maybe...but Houston cannot give you the #1 pick. also depends how protected those picks are.

Just curious...what could he offer if he wants the #1 without including SGA? I don't know everything they have so maybe it's possible......what could he cough up?

If I'm Detroit they don't have anything that would make me make the deal if it doesn't include SGA.

No they can’t, I think the Thunder would get Mobley at 2 though.
