Exactly. He's not necessarily wrong. That was kind of his trajectory before the Lakers got Lebron and AD. He's really struggled to adjust to playing with them. He'd actually probably play better on your Suns than on the Lakers because of how the Suns are built compared to the Lakers.

So a package including Ingram and Julius Randle along with a ton of picks which was rumored to be offered at the time wouldn’t have been better than DeRozan and whatever the heck else Toronto sent back?

That isn’t what I said.

What I said was that package wouldn’t have got the Spurs anywhere either. They would maybe be a first round playoff exit team.

And really you should be thankful.

Because had the Spurs done that deal, you might have only had Kawhi for 1 season. Now you have AD locked up.
