This is not quite like the NFL and the chart would change from year to year. IF what we are hearing about Cade (and top 4 overall) is true, you'd likely need at least a top 4 pick in this draft to get them to consider. Doubt they'd care much about 16 or 18. Not their fault, but getting the 6th pick wont help them much here IMO. Unless the team picking near the top does not agree with the hype of this draft.

Well we will see how it plays out, the only way the Thunder don’t move up is if they really like who falls to them.

It’s not an outlandish statement at all, they have the assets.
it is if the hype for the draft is real. When have you know a team to have a chance to pick someone as hyped as Cade and to trade down far enough where they cannot even get someone deemed to be in the top level of players in the draft (in this case top 4 or even 5)? Doubt future assets where you don't even know where you'd be picking or which players would be available entices them enough.

Just my opinion.

I could see them moving up, sure, but easily get any pick they want? Other team has to not like the guy they took, as well, and be willing to take a lesser player at 6.

What I’m saying is being widely reported, but it doesn’t matter because Presti won’t give up all the assets he has acquired in one shot anyway, just not his style. I absolutely expect them to move up to at least 4 though.

It has been widely reported OKC could get any pick they wanted and not give up SGA to do it?

A lot of things at this time are "widely reported"....doesn't mean these things are realistic. saying OKC looking into moving up is not quite the same as saying they could easily move up into any spot they wanted. All I'm saying.

Look there is a chart for all of this but the 6, 16 and 18 for starters. The Thunder have tons of draft picks, plus their own that will be valuable for a couple more years. I don’t expect the Thunder to go all the way to 1, but with all the draft picks and cap space they are going to be a very desirable trade partner.
If CLE moves sexton and takes Suggs 3, Toronto might wanna consider it.

cone out of the night with bouknight and segun (after a trade up) and you’d have a good base

The 16 and 18 are not all that valuable when you consider giving up the top pick in an all time ish loaded top 5

correct. I mean, maybe, if paired with a top 3-4 pick (and a player).

Or IF the draft just not projected by the real GMs the way the fake ones see it.

I never said they were. All we are talking about is moving up and giving back the 6 pick this year. The 6 and OKCs pick next year goes a long ways to doing that. In fact that is enough to move to 5, maybe 4 just depending on who wants who and what develops.

If your point is moving to 4 then yes that's doable

More is doable, don’t forget the Thunder have the ability to take on a contract too.

Appreciate all that but I only involved myself in this discussion because you felt it possible for the Thunder to get the 1 without including SGA.

Maybe...maybe in a 3 way

Saw a trade prop with a 3 way where the Pistons got the Cavs 3 AND Ben Simmons

Count me in on that lol

No reason to argue about it because Presti wouldn’t do it but 38 picks with at least next year likely having a top 3 pick says you can do what you want if you so choose.

I think moving to 4 is possible but only IF what is being reported about the draft is untrue...that there's a huge drop off after 4. But, sure, if the guy Toronto wants is still there at 6 they might be willing to deal.

Curious how they likely have a top 3 pick next year. Their own or someone else?

Their own, have to think next year will be tough. Their pick next year is likely their best asset, what I would think anyway.
