Not really. Just facts

1) chemistry matters.
2) the days of expecting them to beat teams by 30 plus is long gone

No excuses. They still have more talent and had no business losing to either team.

Just acknowledging the reality that it's no longer the cake walk it used to be. So we can't just show up, roll the ball out and collect the win. Team USA actually has to pay attention now.

Last night was a good example of how chemistry can beat talent. During the game the announcers said Team Aussie's been playing together for years. And Team USA's been playing together for what, two weeks?

On a different topic for a second. I really want the league to end this dumbass all start game draft crap. Time for Team USA vs. the world. That would be a helluva game.

Any team with KD, Lilliard, Beal, and Tatum (just to name their best players) shouldn't be losing to Nigeria and Australia, although Australia is a little more understandable. But, they still shouldn't be losing to teams like this.

This team is wayyyyy better than that one. Isn't even close. Amare, Wade, James, and Melo were all young kids coming off their first or 2nd season in the league. That team got lucky because the world isn't as good as it is now.

We'll see in 3 weeks. My apologies for not quitting on this team because they had trouble in their first 2 exhibition games.

Yes I do think they'll look better with more game action which will help build chemistry.

Today alone is a much better performance compared to the first 2 warm up games.

When you go from guys on the select team getting minutes to Jrue Holiday and Devin Booker, that'll also help as well

He definitely would. I read the article. The chances of it happening seem to be pretty slim though. Apparently, for adding that 3rd high level player, if the Lakers sign and trade Schroder, it gives them a pretty significant trade exception.

Saw another article that said the Lakers are one of several teams interested in Collin Sexton. It said that the downside would be that it would probably mean taking on Love. I'm not sure taking on Love would be such a bad thing. At least not if he's healthy.

That trade exception would come in handy.

I was thinking about Love earlier this season. When healthy, he's a solid scorer, rebounder and passer.....plus he has played with James.
