I the Lakers cut Marc Gasol in favor of DeAndre Jordan, it's going to be the biggest mistake they make this offseason.

Russ will have to take more jumpers with Dwight and DeAndre clogging the paint, and we all know how that's going to turn out...

Speaking of Marc Gasol…that’s probably it for him. I believe I was saying this earlier in the offseason and I got some people saying he can still contribute. Pretty sure @tlance or @bksballer89 was one or both that agreed with me on that but I can’r remember. Nope, he shouldn’t be in the league. Retire.

Nah. He can still play a little bit. He's smart enough as a facilitator that he can space the floor and keep the offense moving in spots. I'd rather have him as the emergency center behind Davis and Dwight than DeAndre Jordan in that spot.

I'm not so sure about that. Part of the commitment that AD made when he, Lebron and Westbrook all met, was that he'd play more 5. I'm sure the coaches are working on all kinds of lineups, but my bet is that AD will start at the 5 most of the time and Dwight will be the first 5 off the bench.

About the only way I'd see that changing is if DJ has a "Blake Griffin resurgence" and looks a lot more like the guy he was a few years ago than who he has been the last couple of seasons.

Bro, DJ is near washed.

Howard is a better defender at this point, and historically, Gasol is better offensively and as a creator.

When you factor in Davis' minutes at center, Jordan is basically injury, Howard doing something stupid to get tossed insurance.

yep I liked Max because he had some good points while understanding the purpose of the show. I don't care to watch a Irving vs Stephen A shouting match and Tebow just isn't the right guy for these type of shows imo

Washed may be a little too harsh a word but I don't see him having much of an impact at all.

He still put up 9,5 and 2 in 20min on a team that finished 3rd in the West.

Solid bench guy on the minimum.

Once folks wrap their minds around the fact that the Nets, a championship or bust team, bought him out BEFORE the season began and would rather have 3 long in the tooth power forwards man the spot, along with Claxton.....its obvious that you are correct.

This isn't a young team buying out a vet at the deadline so he can compete for a Championship in his twilight.

This is a team with the best odds to win it all, that has 3 of his best friends on the roster, that said ....I'd rather have one legged Blake at the 5 while giving him DNP's.

It's not because of character or behavioral issues. He only has one and a half skill set.

Lobs and blocks and he isn't very good at one of those for long stretches anymore.

Howard and AD are better defensively, Davis and Gasol on O.

But, he isn't a bad emergency big.
