You tried to point out they should have traded Sexton and did not. Hell, you are doing the same with Baker and the Browns not signing him (I will not mention them again here and will leave it on off topic thread). In both cases, of course, without knowing all the details.....offers made for Sexton if any. What Baker was offered, what he wanted, etc.

said needed to do what Philly did with MCW but even Philly does not deal him (or Jrue) if they don't get back what they want.

No I did not say they should have traded Sexton.

I answered your question as to when they would have had to trade him to be like Philly.

Go ahead and find a quote of me saying they should have traded Sexton. Q said that, not me.

I did say the Browns should have pushed and should be pushing for an extension. And I said the same thing about the Cowboys and about WFT when they went through their QB pay dramas. Those conversations are not related at all.

So you're saying an awful rookie year doesn't dictate future value or potential?

Shocked Face Wow GIF

Only counts for Cavs rookies.

All others are doomed to fail.

Sorry.

Related in the sense you are looking to rip on the Browns based on a baseless opinion without knowing, well, really any of the facts when it comes to their negotiations.

Apologies if you never said anything about needing to deal Sexton and was only Q.

That said, because they haven't does not mean they would not have in order to do what Philly did. after rookie seasons MCW had more worth than sexton after his. Don't recall which year Jrue was dealt but as mentioned for a top 6 pick AND another pick I'd say certainly possible Cavs would have dealt him. Should not just give him away...nor would the 76ers for their guys.

How many are there actually? Or how many does it feel like there are?

Because those are very different numbers. lol
This would be a good one to think about...or better not think much and guess. How many teams have more than 1 fan here. without giving it much thought if over/under was 8.5 which way would you go?

Of course you never give away an asset during a rebuild. That goes without saying.

The 6ers went through the most aggressive tank in NBA history.

The Cavs have merely been bad since LeBron left.

The 2 situations are night and day.

That is all.

you finally admit Wiseman was awful?

I've never said Wiseman was spectacular or even good last year. Go find a single post of me saying that.

I never said you said he was great.

I asked if you are willing to admit that his first year was a dumpster fire.

I just dont think Wiseman - despite having a lot of physical gifts- has the basketball acumen and IQ to ever be anything more then Nerleans Noel. We shall see who is right.

He is more offensively talented than Noel. Prob not the defender however but I think the gap is bigger on O

OH ABSOLUTELY.

Wiseman was lost. Defensively he lost his assignment many times. He was late in rotations. Offensively, he was also out of position a ton. He his hands were so bad last year overall, even though he seemed to get a bit better later.

He showed flashes of great play and potential, but 80% of the time he was out there it wasn't noticeable. His rebounding numbers were way too low for my liking.

But if there was any guy to give a pass to on the above, it's a big who only played 4 college games and got thrown into the fire of a complex offense and defensive scheme. He did much better later in the year when Kerr actually let him play in the P&R with Steph, which is apparently a novel idea to Kerr.

So upside still there. Flashes of great play there. TON OF WORK TO BE DONE to get there.

Yeah, wouldn't advise getting into it on an empty stomach...looks like it's gonna be awhile. lol
I actually read most of this debate on the toilet… I’m still kinda lost on what exactly is going on.

“The Cavs should trade their best assets now because they have the most trade value.

“like the 76ers who traded away their best prospects while Michael-Carter-Dipshit and Jrue Holliday played almost the best ball of their life”

Just typing this, I forgot what I was even talking about.

My head hurts…
