you finally admit Wiseman was awful? So you're saying an awful rookie year doesn't dictate future value or potential?

I think Magic were right to take a gamble on Fultz-- and he looked great until he got hurt this year. He was really bad for like 2 or 3 years wasnt he?Right! For some reason, a player like Fultz is close to a Garland type trade.
LOL.So you're saying an awful rookie year doesn't dictate future value or potential?
Si, injuries…I think Magic were right to take a gamble on Fultz-- and he looked great until he got hurt this year. He was really bad for like 2 or 3 years wasnt he?
Wiseman started strong just like any lottery pick.you finally admit Wiseman was awful?
and it was kind of like Philly....other than picking later. So?This was your post that started this discussion.
I was talking about Philly and praising their rebuild strategy.
You replied with this. Trying to compare Cleveland to Philly and you think the only difference is lotto luck.
Now 6 pages later….
who said they gave up? Kept going and did find a Mobley. I'm sure they are listening to offers for those guys but should they just give them away?that doesn't mean you give up. Just means you keep recycling guys who aren't those dudes and keep making moves. Or trading a nance for more picks so you can move up if need be.
you gotta be flexibile and nimble to find the DUDES because those guys aren't willingly coming to CLE.
Until you stop trying to rip Cleveland with baseless opinions.I am not though.
I am saying that Philly was brilliant.
You said Cleveland was like Philly.
They are not like Philly.
Cleveland’s plan is a very standard rebuild.
That does not mean it can’t work. Just doesn’t deserve the same praise.
How many times do I have to say I am not ripping Cleveland?
That rebuild is The Process on steroids and might need a different term. Double Secret Super Process. The rebuild that most closely replicates The Process is what Presti is doing in OKC right now.
They can...but all those future picks couldn't even help them move from 6 into the top 4 as many said they were trying to go if true.absolutely
they can makes moves to go get guys now with so many future picks
to this day I do not believe I've ever replied to myself. If I didn't like how a convo was going I have the ability to bow out. Some clearly don't....might be a good thing in the offseason. He can rattle on for days.....
I don't completely disagree with that at all. Though, again, this assumes they could have gotten top picks for Love before resigning him. Not saying they couldn't have. In addition, the cavs ended the idea of trying to get better quickly into year 1 of the rebuild. The biggest difference is in the manner of the rebuild. The Process and OKC now are asset focused, trying to take current assets at their peak value and trading them for future assets that can be employed for a higher value, later in the rebuild. Cavs plan doesn’t put the same value on maximizing assets. That can be seen in the Love signing plus the fact that he hasn’t been traded. Both Presti and Hinkie would have dealt him long ago in the same situation. The Cavs plan is to just lose games and then take the high pick and lean heavily on their own scouting department in being able to project players that will evolve into something that creates a winner. No judgment here. But it’s a completely different kind of rebuild.
And maybe was Cavs move if offered the 6th pick (a guy many thought might go 2 at time) AND another #1. as usual, we don't know what they might have been offered for him.Garland being awful doesn’t impact Sexton’s trade value.
Again, not saying they should have done it.
Just that that would been the Philly move.
all good on my end. These boards are boring - especially in offseason - if we all agree.
3?Just curious… How many Cavs’ fans on this board?
Until you stop trying to rip Cleveland with baseless opinions.
well, you don't have to stop...you can continue to be you and rip them with baseless opinions.
You tried to point out they should have traded Sexton and did not. Hell, you are doing the same with Baker and the Browns not signing him (I will not mention them again here and will leave it on off topic thread). In both cases, of course, without knowing all the details.....offers made for Sexton if any. What Baker was offered, what he wanted, etc. Please show me 1 post where I ripped Cleveland.
All I did was point out obvious differences between the rebuilds.
