I would too.

But that doesn’t much matter. You got 7 years to build a contender before he starts asking for a trade.

Good luck.
I guess he might "ask" for one even sooner.

Perhaps.

But even then, AP wasn’t as great at 32 as he was at 24.

Russ might last longer than most, like LeBron has.

But, LeBron isn’t nearly as explosive as he was. And when Russ loses the same amount of explosiveness as LeBron has, he will almost surely lose effectiveness too.

Whether that is now or 4 years from now remains to be seen.

But it will happen at some point.
Oh yeah, Father Time is undefeated

My three team trade idea:

Warriors trades: Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Kelly Oubre (S&T 3yrs 45M), 2022 1st Rd Pick
Receives: Ben Simmons and Derrick Jones Jr.

Portland trades: CJ McCollum, Derrick Jones Jr.
Receives: Draymond Green and Kelly Oubre

76ers trade: Ben Simmons
Receives: CJ McCollum, Jonathan Kuminga, 2022 1st Rd Pick.
If what we are hearing is true I would think Philly wants a lot more than that....but, of course, what we are hearing could be completely false.

They want more of course, but market and situation dictates the return. It's reported that Simmons has cut off all communication with the 76ers. That's more of a pressing issue for them wanting to move him.

pre-lebron? which pre-lebron time?

you mean when they drafted Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, and had the #1 pick to take Wiggins and then traded for Love? uhh yah. Id say it was close. Some ways that was better- some ways this rebuild has been better so far---- but they are definitely acquiring a lot of good young talent and assets to take that next step.
They can definitely take the next step....question is can we take the next next step.

I guess someone always has to get screwed in a 3 teamer....that team is Portland lol

Wiseman, Kuminga, Moody + salary

Don’t think they would or should trade for Lillard, just that they have a more competitive package than the other teams you mentioned.
Not sure I saw all the other packages but did they contain 1 or more guys who were already really good NBA players?

It is, but he has little leverage so doubt they take pennies on the dollar. .....guess possible they love Kuminga.

I'm going bare minimum offer. Obviously there's more to add, but this would be MY personal parameters.

Yeah who could blame him for cutting them off? I mean actually expecting him to take shots? Oh the horror.

I kind of disagree assuming this means they are keeping Dame and have a decent SG with more size.
Yeah they would have Oubre lol. So you get him and Draymond for CJ, who is still 29 and very important to Portland. Unless they get Kum, Moody or future picks I don't see it

Draymond would still cry if he got traded. I think if they were going for Simmons...Wiggins would be the guy to go imo
No one values Green anywhere close to what the Warriors do I don’t think

Think the bridge was burned either way. Doc threw him under the bus right after the series. Then the front office basically told everyone you can have him.

Not saying Simmons doesn't have any accountability here, which he absolutely does. But it works both ways in this situation.
