He’s not even taking Embiid’s phone calls haha. I can’t wait to see the first Embiid game v Ben. He’s gonna clown him.
Shame should keep him from talking to any of them, but for some reason I doubt that’s it.

He really needs to get knocked down a peg. He needs to come low in order to take his game to the next level. I don’t think he gets it yet.

What's your take on the Lakers offseason?

Considering what they had to work with, pretty good. There's a couple of other players I would have preferred that went elsewhere (like Mills or Gay), but you can't complain too much. It's hard to fill out a roster with just vet min available. Still think they need a defensive minded guard or wing.

Not sure I saw all the other packages but did they contain 1 or more guys who were already really good NBA players?

Yes.

But if the Blazers are trading Lillard, they shouldn’t want “good NBA players”.

They should want young assets to rebuild with.

A guy like Jaylen Brown, for example, is a clear downgrade from Dame, but still maybe good enough to get you in NBA purgatory.

Doubt it.

Player has no real leverage until then anyway

Enjoy the next 7 years.
He could certainly ask before the end of his second deal. Kyrie did.

Cannot say I'll worry at all over what he might do after 7 years.
