Yes. It's 75 years of the NBA, hence the diamond since 75 is the "diamond anniversary".

They did a 50 Greatest Players list during the 50th anniversary too. Should be fun to see if they add 25 more players and release a new list.

Yep knew that. Funny you mentioned the 50 greatest players. It was the '97 all star game in Cleveland when they were introduced. I was lucky enough to get tickets to that and got to meet Larry Bird. One of my all time sports related highlights.

The difference is that all these guys came in as vets and are basically the entire team. They aren't going to get anything great in the draft because they'll keep the Nets well out of the lottery while they're there and with all of the contracts they have zero cash to build a bench. When this team breaks up the Nets will be hot garbage for a while. They just have the player option with Paul for next year so if it blew up then whatever, shit happens, we're back to our two young stars to build around.

Nets market will help them sign new FA and reload.

CP3 is expected to turn down that player option in favor of a 3 year extension, so you'll be paying him less next year, but for 2 more years after until he's 39. Looked strong this year, but father time....etc.

3 weeks ago they were prohibitive title favorites. They got unlucky. Maybe they get unlucky again next year.

In the risk/reward spectrum, the reward for the moves the Nets made way way outweighs the risk.

No doubt they should have signed Durant/Kyrie when given the chance. If someone wants to say maybe they could have gone with what they had over dealing for Harden I could buy that. But cannot fault them for making that deal.

That's a big if. When they lost game 7 to the Bucks the bench had zero points on zero shot attempts.

...and they still only lost by a few shoe sizes.
