I don’t get his comments on the OF. So on one hand the OF isn’t an issue because of the depth of COF, yet he says White is now going to be a COF. So what is White’s role since he is behind Kelenic and Haniger? Let alone Fraley and Trammell and probably DeLoach.

he is always 1B first............he is a gold glove,,,,for crying out laud

Maybe. 6 to 8 years of unknown value vs a solid MLB vet is the question. We have seen a ton of potential never play a factor at the MLB level and we seen it lead a team. This is why you as a GM better know your players better than anyone else which isn't always the case in Seattle.

I agree on the theory, but the flaw is Matz has to want to come to Seattle. If so, I agree 100%.

mariners minors...are still in flex..........they are not close...to a,,,,,,,, log ..jam..yet...........if they where..they could prob..do the oakland trade...
but they are not...so they cant.........

I don't fault SD for signing big names to big contracts and I don'ts Machado or Hosmer as fails. I think they over valued some starting pitching and traded for some really bad Mariners. I mean how do you trade a guy like France. I saw him for the first time when we played them in SD and said at the time I would love a guy like thatch makes contact and sprays the ball all around. I guess they thought he was a fluke. Thank you SD.

Schwarber scares me, not gonna lie. I would have been fine with a flyer on him last year but i dont know about paying him a big contract which is what I think he will get. Basically you have to platoon him and his defense is very suspect to put it nicely

I guess I am just use to seeing suspect defense in LF with guys that have no offense...lol. Not my first choice, but the type of player I think we end up with. I truly believe we will get a 'B' type and 2 'C' type free agents. No 'A' listers. Trades have already not turned out like Dipoto thought they would last week so I am just preparing myself for a 'We tried' offseason.
