Yeah... that would suck. The ESPN dude has him as the 97th ranked overall prospect at 18... feels like this would be selling really low for that.My worry is it is the catcher we drafted #1 last year. I know you can't trade a guy until a year (I believe) after he is drafted. So if not him, someone in last years draft class is my guess.
Still plenty of money to spend
Explains a bit more why we pursued another OF...
Probably Kelanic for the time being, unless Rodriguez makes the starting roster... Kyle Lewis could eventually be our DH with how much he gets hurt...full..health..is disired...with lewis...
soo..who..will...cf.
Well it looks like our "additional plan in place" was Eugenio Suarez.Very concerning. I just want an additional plan in place which doesn't hinge on getting or not getting Bryant.
Best free agent option for sure. I wouldn't go too crazy on spending for him though. A fair price, sure.
Not sure if I would, but can't argue against that either. Now Bryant way better option than giving up anything in our top 10 list for Chapman that is for sure.
My guess is we end up with McNeil and Smith from Mets in a deal. McNeil works at 3B and Smith gives us the LH outfielder Dipoto wants. I am not saying this is my wish, but I just think it will be our Plan F and we end up with it.
That's depressing.
You beat me to posting this.
