which may make..a collage catch unnecesary..but a hs catch..again..would be good..even if ya have 4 catch..at atAZL..its ok
cuz..there are always guys going there..accually...and haveing an extra catch or 2...is a waayy..good idea..

even if they have a 2nd position.....an other good idea...

there are always more pitchers than catchers..

LF and Left handed hitter with some pop, though hitting in Cin is quite different than almost anywhere else.

Question is what does this mean for our existing OFs? Winker, Kelenic, Mitch, Lewis to start the season. Julio probably doesn't make opening day unless Kelenic is part of this deal, which I doubt.

I was guessing we'd go after Schwarber for that LF/LH power, but Winker has to be a better defender than Scwarber.

I guess this means Bryant isn't (probably never was) coming here. I don't like this move simply because it is a step back to go a step forward. Dipoto's track record in free agency is still very poor. Ray is it.

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that the Mariners have acquired Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez from the Reds in exchange for Justin Dunn, Brandon Williamson and Jake Fraley.

Jeff Passan of ESPN was first to report the news of Winker being traded, and Feinsand has the rest of the details. Winker is challenged defensively and against left-handed pitching, but he will provide a big jolt to the Mariners' lineup versus righties. Suarez has batted just .199 over the last two seasons but will give Seattle a power bat at third base. Fraley should slide right into the vacancy in left field left by Winker, while Dunn will enter the Reds' rotation. Williamson is ranked by MLB.com as the No. 7 prospect in a good Mariners farm system.

I like it... Suarez had hit 49 HR's the year before so he has some serious pop... Winker was an All Star, LH bat that we need badly... Fair trade between the two clubs...
