Just like I said @Manster7588 I don't think we cut Ha-Ha

  • Veteran safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was released (via ESPN)

There is a rumor going around that the Cowboys will be meeting with Earl this weekend. Same guy that reported Zeke being in Cabo

Who knows, but I'm 100% in as long as McCarthy is OK with him.

I thing if they figured out the offset language issue due to the way he was released it would be easier. If he is getting his B'More money either way he might as well just sign a vet minimum deal. If not, he is going to want more

I think 103 the fan seems to think we will sign Earl. Both Jerry and Stephen are not ruling it out or saying it will happen. This would indicate there at least some type of interest. Normally Jerry or Stephen would say there is no Interest and the rumors would die

I feel the same way. If McCarthy on board then I am all for it

You just can't depend on Lee. Probably the most injury prone player in the NFL.

Gregory cant play until week 6. But conditionally reinstated...I think most on here know what i think of Goodell. The NFL will be a better league when he is long gone

Don’t let anyone try to convince you that ET is old and no good. He still balls

As you may be aware by now, Jerry Jones has occasionally gambled on the merits of a player’s character as it relates to production and hit more than a few dry holes as a result. Doesn’t mean the old wildcatter’s learned his lesson. For Earl Thomas’ sake, not to mention the Cowboys’ secondary, let’s hope not.

Consider recent developments: The Cowboys need a safety now that they’ve paid Ha Ha Clinton-Dix$2.5 million not to play it.

And Earl’s available. Like, for two weeks now.

Not so long ago, this would have been a no-brainer. Say what you want about Earl at 31. No longer the best safety of his generation. That title now belongs to Jamal Adams. Just the same, Earl’s still pretty good. Last season, his first on a new team and in a defense that moved him all over the field, he put up an 86.1 coverage grade. Quarterbacks posted a 24.2 rating when targeting him, the lowest figure of 263 defenders who qualified. Quarterbacks’ completion percentage of 44 percent against him was the second lowest. No, Earl’s no longer No. 1, but Pro Football Focus still rates him the seventh-best safety in the league.
