How about this

Trade out of the 1st with Indy who has #34 and #44. (straight up value for value) .Then trade back up into the end of the 1st round if you want or use your 3rd to trade back up in the 2nd with 4 2nd round picks.

This is intresting 3 2nd round picks :suds:

All would be low round picks

I like a lot of players in the 2nd round so wouldn't be completely against it. Just would depend who is there at 15 of how much I like that idea.

Also, they have Klis spreading rumors about wanting a pick between #15 and #46 to see how much they have to give up for this. Klis is right, they do have 1 player that they love at wide receiver that is projected to go in that area. Brandon Aiyuk/Arizona St. When the Broncos executives have watched film, Aiyuk reminds them of Rod Smith. He's around the same size, with very long arms for the position, just like Rod Smith.

I'm actually on the Building the Broncos show with @Dr Cyanide 28. I've been on the DeepDivers with both Lance and Erick. Yeah Erick is pretty opinionated and sticks to his guns on most everything. I've gotten to know him quite a bit over the last few years working with him and once you get past some of that he is a really nice guy that you realize is just very passionate and doesn't always know how to express that well.

Appreciate you listening in! We love doing the show. Hoping we can get back to our two episodes a week here sometime in the near future. Unfortunately Nick and I both pretty darn booked throughout this pandemic.

Wouldn't mind him one bit. He is I think 7th on my big board at the WR position.

Broncos have private meeting with Houston LT Josh Jones

According to SB Nation’s Justin Melo, the Broncos have conducted a private meeting with Houston left tackle Josh Jones.
Jones is widely considered OT5 in this draft class by most in the National Media. It seems notable that as best I’ve been able to find, the Broncos have not met with two of the tackles most rank above him: Andrew Thomas and Mekhi Becton.

Jones is very experienced on the blindside, having played 45 games over his collegiate career, all at left tackle. While the competition at Houston isn’t quite what players like Jedrick Wills faced in the SEC, Jones was rock solid in pass protection this past season.

Like Austin Jackson and Ezra Cleveland, Jones has nice feet and looks like a natural mirroring opponents. But he’s farther along in his development and has far better hand usage. In the NFL he will need to get stronger and improve his technique as a run blocker, but the tools are there for him to be a cornerstone of his next offensive line.

I like Erik, but I have a tendency to agree with you and Nick more. I'm a conservative Republican so I actually listen to people and if I disagree on a subject or opinion that's fine. I can disagree, but still like the individual person.

Oh believe me Nick and I disagree with Erick on a daily basis. We have a facebook group message where all of us talk well about everything. Nice thing is at the end of the day even though we disagree on quite a few things we all obviously keep talking to each other and enjoy doing the shows together.

And appreciate that you are open to different opinions and listening. That is something that is rare to find in our world today.

Yeah, I look on this board a few times a week at least, but rarely post. I've actually been on the same boards with Mingo, DraftCrazy with KFFL, and I can't remember the other boards before that. I'm talking over 20 years ago. I've posted under the names (Stud, Adam Schefter, etc...)

One thing that might support us moving up into the bottom of the 1st round is that we have a lot of 2nd round picks that worked out pretty well are appear to be on that path (Sutton, Risner, Lock), if we can trade back up int the end of the 1st to get the 5th year option that may be helpful when it comes time to sign some of these guys to their second contract, and get a quality player too. Not sure I would make that move for that reason, but would potentially be an added benefit if we did.

@58crash

Josh Jones is an intriguing prospect to me. I don't fully have a good or bad opinion of him right now. I feel like his stock is very wide. I see him going as high as 18 to Miami with the way the top 4 OT's are likely to go off the board. I could also see him slipping to early Round 2. I am guessing Denver is tracking him more as a 2nd round guy or possibly a guy they would consider moving up from the second round for if he falls some. I have taken Jones in both team mocks I have done. Once at #18 to Miami and again at #33 to Cincinnati. A team is either gonna reach on him because of his potential or he will slide a bit to a little better value pick I was a little stuck with drafting him for Miami... OT fell quite a bit after him, IMO.. Didn't want to take an OT at #26 and I knew Jones wouldn't be there then... Miami needed an OT worse than LGM needs his pacifier so I went with it knowing it is a fit for them. Really hard to judge where Jones will go.

P.S. A private interview sounds kind of funny considering how they are doing them this year via technology. I think Jones is one of the more interesting and unpredictable early round picks in this years draft. High risk/reward type. Feels like an Elway trade up in round 2 to me for some reason. I really feel like if we are serious about an OT in this years draft it would have to be in a trade up for a guy like Jones if he slides into the late first. After that we are looking at the Ben Bartch's and Saadhig Charles in the rd 3-4 range, IMO. I don't really see Denver taking just any OT this year... I think it has to be a value guy with high upside. Not just any ole OT on day 2. A position we can easily draft early, but if it isn't there I don't see us forcing it either.

OT is going to be a very interesting draft decision for us. I think we all know we will draft one, but how high? How aggressive?

I like his size and he seems to be a TD machine on long throws
