Here's the thing. Giannis still has a year on his contract and he hasn't demanded a trade. That's good news for the Bucks because it looks like he's willing to give them a fair chance.

But it doesn't mean that he's decided to stay or will make his decision anytime soon.

The most likely scenario is that he'll give it the season, see how things go and make his decision after the season.

The talk here among the locals in Milwaukee that are close to the situation including Bucks radio announcer and talk radio host with connections with the team is that he will sign the super max deal between Friday and the start of the season. We will know in a month or so if that will happen or not.

I just don’t know why he wouldn’t sign it. He can always just demand a trade. That’s the new league.

So a couple years ago there were thought to be 3 huge contracts that were simply untradeable. Presti can complet the trifecta by somehow trading for and unloading John wall. I don’t see that one ever getting started though lol

True but these GM's are so pussy. There's 3 seasons left on Harden deal. I'm not thinking about trading him (if i don't want to) until the offseason or early next season. No way should they allow a player to force their hand if it isn't a contract you

Oh I agree, fans are going to revolt at some point if the players continue to be allowed to run the league. I think it’s already started in fact.

Eh, not really. It's sort of yes and no. When his deal gets closer to expiring sure. But if he signs the supermax and lets say these Bucks moves they've made don't work, he's basically stuck there for at least 2, probably 3 years. For guys like him, I really do think the smartest move to make is to do what Lebron did with Cleveland and Miami; keep signing shorter max deals to keep maximum leverage. That way, you're basically controlling every move the team makes. At most, you're always 2 years away from free agency

KD seems like the type that doesn't really take a second to analyze a *potential* situation. But rather, reacts.

I just can't see how a combo of Harden, Kyrie and Durant leads to success.

It could.

But Kyrie and Harden is the problem.

KD would be just fine. Even if he is unhappy he will ball out.

Harden and Kyrie fighting over the ball would be epic.

I don’t know why he would.

It isn’t like his value is going to diminish this year. He will be a Mac contract player no matter what.

He should not sign anything this summer.

If he is pleased with the team’s results, he can extend next summer:

Yeah, seems like it definitely makes more sense for him to wait. Sure he can always demand a trade if it doesn't work. But that brings it's own set of problems.

Like I said, it depends on the depth they get. Depth is the key unless you have a super team like the Warriors and the Bucks are FAR from that.
The Warriors didn't do that well last season.
