agree...I'd rather have kept Brogdon, Bledsoe, Hill and my picks than have Jrue.

Holiday is making $26M

Brogdon $20.7M, Bledsoe $16.8M, Hill $10M

Huge difference in money there. Over $20M

Schroder can play the 1 or the 2 but really a guy that sets up the offense. Bradley and KCP can play the 1 or the 2. Not knowing Kuzma's future...I think it would be good to have that depth, especially for injuries purposes

True. Plus, if it turns out they don't need one of them, they can make a trade later on.

Okay wasn't aware of that. I guess I don't like then that he was one of the leading voices against playing. Make your personal decision and allow others to do their thing.

Yeah, I remembered that it was family related, but I couldn't remember the details and had to look them up. The reason kind of got lost in the noise, especially with him being vocal about not playing. There were a couple of Lakers fans here who thought he sat out for social justice reasons.

Exactly. I meant KCP and Bradley can play the 2 or 3. If they can add Matthews, that's 4-5 guys that all can defend, some might be streaky shooters but that's just one more year under this offense (not Matthews). The 2 and 3 will be set.

SG - KCP, Bradley
SF - Lebron, Kuzma, Matthews

Interesting. The Lakers may have a decision to make.

KCP wants a long term deal as well and is 2 years younger. Although Bradley isn't exactly old at 29.

With Schroder coming in, not sure the Lakers need both.

If he's playing well, Bradley is better than KCP, imo. But KCP has been pretty good the past couple of years and as mentioned, is younger.

I can't imagine either getting a long term deal, unless it's a long term team-friendly deal. They have KCP's bird rights, so they can go over the cap for him. Bradley not so much. I'm not really thrilled with either with a bigger contract to be honest.

Imo, getting Schroder and keeping Kuzma is a better deal.

They improved the team, still have him as a trade piece if something comes up later and if they don't trade him, they still have a solid young player who hasn't hit his prime yet.

Maybe Pelinka knows what he's doing after all? lol

How much trade value does Kuzma really have? It came out recently that he's already looking for an extension. That limits any benefit of getting him on the cheap for another year or two, and his lower salary limits what he can bring back in trade, and the Lakers just traded their big expiring contract. Now, if some guys opt in, there can be other options, but not to that same level.

True. But saying "we can make it work" is one thing. The reality of it when guys figure out what it means as far their stats, can be a completely different thing.

KD joined the Warriors, won back to back rings and likely would have a three-peat if not for injuries, won 2 finals MVP awards and still left over touches.
Was it over touches or lack of respect for joining the ready made title team? Or both?

From what has been said, mostly touches.

Considering how much he's in his feels all the time, I'm sure all of the blowback from joining the Warriors in the first place was part of it too.

More Lakers movements in adding additional players.

Bradley may just be the odd man out. KCP will be the next to sign with the Lakers. Rondo will be forced to hover than comeback to the Lakers on the cheap because the ClipJoint are not going to pursue Rondo with any sort of vigor.

Obviously, it depends on what each side means by "long term".

For the players, it might mean 4-5 year with a player option after 3-4, while the Lakers may be thinking more like 3 years with team option after 2.

I'd say that the longer the deal, the more team friendly it will need to be.

If they have to choose. I think I'd prefer KCP. Along with being younger, he's been through some of the rough times, had his playing time messed with a bit and has never complained. I'm a little more willing to "reward" him.

I didn't look to deep into it. But what I saw was that he will be looking for a sizeable raise. But didn't see anything about him wanting it right now. Seems he'd be smarter to wait and see what he's offered in RFA and see if the Lakers will match. So, then the question becomes about what he means by sizeable.

He made less than $2 million last year and will only be paid a little over $3.5 million this year. So, $8 -10 million per year would be sizeable compared to that. He's also good enough and young enough to still be attractive as a trade piece on his own, although because of his low salary he likely would have to be part of a package deal to get the best return value.

If the Lakers keep him through the season, it will be interesting to see what he is offered in FA next year.

Stars are desperate to get to my nets just like i said when i pointed out Giannis would likely want to get to the nets as well...Harden turned down 50 mill just to get out of Houston lol

Picking up Harden is a very good move imo even though the talking heads and some here (Who thought the Clippers would win like Tlance even though it was obvious it was the lakers) think it won't work. Because of Kyrie and Durants injury prone, i honestly don't think it will be a problem as far as touches. It gives them a backup if someone gets hurt.

Also Giannis has said he also wanted to go to the nets. Trading Kyrie or Harden is a nice return if the bucks are going to lose Gianis...I would be surprised if the NETS don't have this as a done deal pretty soon tbh

Giannis has a 0% chance of going to the Nets and no he never said he wanted to go there

Their arguments are they lose to much depth and they all need the ball in their hand...Fist, Depth doesn't matter in the playoffs...It always comes down to 2-3 stars period...The other guys can be plumbers and bald white guys like Curruso and you still can win...

As for touches that would be interesting, but i would just play 1 of the 3 off the bench...That way only 2 of the stars are in at all times...Not sure they would go for it, but that would work imo.

They have the players to make it happen...And why would he not want to play with Kyrie/Durant...Unless he enjoys losing...he can always continue doing that
