Interested to see how the NBA season goes. Covid cases are the worse its been and there is no bubble.

I feel like at some point they'll have to go back to the bubble unless they make that vaccine mandatory for professional athletes
I’m guessing most if not all will be eager to take the vaccine and get people back in the stands

This is a terrible time to start but its all about the money. A MLK day or even early February start would have made much more sense as by that time, we would have a much clearer idea of when a vaccine will be available

I hear you, I’m guessing that might have had cap implications is why it didn’t go that way. Definitely may not get to that point though, I’m afraid footbal is getting ready to implode.

Yeah it ain't looking good. At least with football there is typically a week between games. In the NBA, usually there is only a day or 2 between games. I don't see how you can keep a team playing the same week if a few on a team test positive. IMO, there should be at least 3-5 days off before that team is back in action just to make sure it isn't any outbreak. Also, basketball rosters are much smaller. Imagine if 12 players came down with the virus on one team due to someone being careless? That team would basically have to stop playing for 10-14 days

I wonder if anyone has thought of bringing like 6 teams into a bubble and let each play 5 games against each other. I expect they are going to have to do something like that.

There isn't a worse time to start a season. NFL/CFB got lucky because they got 2 free months before the real cold weather/2nd wave started. The easiest solution (not sure if player would be ok with it) is something I suggested for the NFL. Local bubbles in your market at least until the vaccine is here. That's probably just a month or two. With this, you still play games in your home city and travel for road games but it eliminates the constant interaction with people outside of your little bubble who may have covid/been in contact with someone with covid

Tried golf once. Fuck that game. Most frustrating game ever.

To be good, it's like you have to go against every athletic instinct and ability you have. I've tried a lot of different sports and have always caught on fairly quickly. It's like you have to force yourself to be unathletic to play that.

The way you're supposed to grip a golf club makes no damn sense.
Do you like Disk Golf?

Do you like Disk Golf?

I used to play golf when I was a kid. I wasn’t great, but I played a lot and got to be halfway decent.

Stopped playing regularly when I went to college because of time and money. Since then I haven’t had the interest because when I try to play I really suck compared to what I once was and it is too frustrating.

Disc golf is awesome though. Took that up at the start of quarantine and I am totally addicted. Play almost every day. Great game.

What the hell is Nate Robinson doing boxing... ?

Especially somebody a fraction of his age.

Looked like he was out there just charging in head first...

I don't know what that is. But if it's like regular golf. Probably not. lol
Think of it like if a mad scientist took golf and frisbee and frankensteined them together.
