On the issue of Kemba Walker and last post-season...

... it should be noted that opposing teams (plural) game-planned specifically against Kemba... even going so far as to play exotic box-and-1 style defenses that targeted him...

... players don't get that treatment at the NBA level unless they're dangerous enough to earn it, and of course these defensive measures at least partially explain his lower statistics.

Really, the Boston team led by Coach Stevens has to do a much better job at taking advantage of the opposition when they gear their game plan to stopping one or two guys.

I don't get it... what "word"? Is there an article attached to this, or just reheated IT soreness connected to nothing whatsoever?

FWIW, IT has publicly stated on multiple occasions that he would like to come back and play for the Celtics... hard to imagine a player would want that if they thought they were screwed over by the organization.

Anywho: Many, many players seem to not have gotten the word... folks got to do a better job of getting the word out, I guess.

They signed that horrible contract, then they bought him out and stretched it.

They should still have it count against their cap because that is how the rules work.

But they had very little chance of getting it approved. Based on what I read back when they first made the proposal, they really didn't have much of a case. If the NBA granted that, they could have legitimately been accused of favoritism.

Yep. The commentators last night were comparing him to Bosh and AD. I saw a lot of Onyeka Okongwu last year and wjile it's only one game, I thought Mobley looked better. He's the highest rated recruit USC basketball has ever had.

Yeah 24/7 had him as #3, but another one had him #2. On the broadcast during last nights game they said he was #2 and USC's highest ranked recruit ever.
