If I had to guess... "veteran leadership"... "mentor the young guys"....

... and Adams does seem like a good, steady, lead-by-example type.
He is as good of a teammate as there is in the league. It’s a good thing he is also pretty easy going because if push came to shove he might be the toughest guy in the league too. Just a good guy to have around. I didn’t think he would command this much money again though because he can’t flex outside at alll.

They had to overpay some because they are a smaller market.

Really?

Redick, Bledsoe, Ingram and Zion can all hit the 3.
Yes, really.

Most guys in the NBA "can hit the 3" to some extent. But that doesn't mean they're good NBA shooters.

On the list you just gave, only Redick and Ingram demand full respect at the 3 pt line... that means only 2 guys in the Pel's starting 5 are providing high quality spacing... that's a huge problem.

Bledsoe can shoot and Zion will improve in his 2nd season.. They have some shooters on the bench.

I don't know. Bledsoe is around 34-35%. Not great, but good enough that teams can't just play off of him to clog the paint.

The pace they play at should help too.

It'll be a weakness for them, but I'm not sure it'll be as big a problem as some seem to think.

It's not a matter of either fully respecting Bledsoe or totally playing off him.

Rather, the Bledsoe's of the league occupy a middle ground where you can't just leave them wide open... but the opposing team can still gain a defensive advantage because he's not a good enough shooter that you have to stay locked to him.

You have to respect his ability to hit the shot....just like Ball. And Zion is not a good shooter but he is still improving like Ball has.

Ball is also a starter now that Holiday is gone and he is like Bledsoe.....somebody you have to respect. Ball made 38%.

Think Portland will re-sign Whiteside....

Worst FA news I've heard so far. I really wanted him to sign with the Lakers. I can think of this one fella that gots the issues with Whiteside & LeBron.

Makes sense for the Pels to start Lonzo. Just keep the ball outta his hands down the stretch of close games. Only a career .487 FT shooter. But he did hit a personal best .566 last year.

If you've got Ball in the starting line-up, you've got Bledsoe on the bench.

No?

Think they may bring Bledsoe off the bench....probably start Ball, Redick, Ingram, Zion and Adams.....not sure what they are planning.
