A 2011 Grand Sport that I absolutley love.....I...Had this thing up to 135.....Crazy fast that will hit atleast 160.....Not sure I wanna try it,let alone getting it to 140.......

I am one of the few that hate it, it is a cheap Lambo knockoff. The last Vette that I liked was the C6.

I dont know how we as a nation came to the point that the only thing we do well is be cheap.

It's not the fastest, best quality, most reliable, or best engineered. It's not the best looking, the best sounding, the best ride or the nicest interior. It's not the loudest, or quietest, not the most advanced, the best on a track or the quickest to 60 or whatever. It doesn't corner the best or stop the best or get the best gas mileage.

But fuck if it ain't cheap!

So you'd prefer a $300k car nobody buys? That's pretty silly.

Besides if you really want a faster Vette go pick up a ZR1 thats faster than the more expensive NSX you're praising.

How do you not see a knockoff of a Lambo? It is a twist on the Aventador, and the quintessential wedge and diamond shape of Lambos for the past 40+ years.

Cheap does not always mean inexpensive, the cheap interior plastics and crappy leather seats and the such make it cheap. Which also lends to an inexpensive price tag. And for the entry level price I will pass, instead I will continue to drive 718’s and 911’s, and have a much better ride and build quality

And yeah,the C6 is a nice looking car.......They became relevant after they dropped the hidden headlights.....
But the C7s are awsome,cant wait till next spring to get a 14 or 15..........

The ugliest of all has to be the C4s.....God awful cars that you can get for around 8-9k......And if I remember right,somewheres I read or heard that the designer for those cars either got fired or resigned....Well deserved.....

Those cars are so crazy fast they added the spoiler on the back end to help keep the car from flipping over........I would love to rest drive one.......

And I cannot stand Lambos, never have. I have had several dream cars that I have owned and a Lambo has never been one. And you don’t have to see it, but I see the same basic shape that I hate with the overpriced Lambo in the C8.

I loved my 2012 C6 Z06 when I had it, and then I stepped up to fine German engineering when I bought a 2018 911 last summer.

I actually like the C4 as it was a huge improvement on the C3. Overall I think the C3 was the ugly, they took was is arguably the most beautiful Vette ever in the C2 and destroyed it, ever since then they have tweaked it and improved until the C8.

There's a lot more cars than lambos with wedge shapes. This isn't remotely a lambo knock off.

We don't know how nice the interior will be yet. That said, youre certainly welcome to drive 718s and 911s all you want. They're awesome cars. But let's not act like a Corvette doesn't get you just as much if not more performance (and reliability) for less $$ - that sure as hell isn't a bad thing.

Gotcha. But it makes sense when you think of it as GM wanting to make as much money as possible. Corvette's are popular for providing reliable super car performance in an affordable American package. It's probably not good business for them to go outdo themselves and make the Corvette look bad by trying to make a better sports car. There's the ZR1 for that. No need to waste all the R&D money on another even more extreme car that would be barely faster if at all and wouldn't sell when the Vette already gives them the brand image they want.
