Zora .. the inventor of the corvette made a half dozen mid engine prototypes throughout the years hoping they'd go to production. He even raced a few of them. It's what the Vette was always intended to be in his vision .. mid engine. Chevy went front engine to keep down the production cost.Incredible machine for certain but at this point, let's stop calling it a corvette.

The new Corvette is scheduled to go into production later this year, with the convertible starting production early next year. Awesome!
