Ill agree i love the teams playing each other every day which will lead to rivalries going wild. Heavy hitting fighting and so on. Making the playoff and surviving tough series all year long does pay its price when entering the playoffs.. My prediction is anyone in the east who has it tough all year long will fizzle out in the playoffs. It will be a good regular season though

That's probably a fair concern. I didn't really think about that. Hopefully it just makes them battle tested, rather than totally wearing them out.

On the flip side, they'll have significantly less travel than the rest of the divisions also. So maybe that helps counter some of the grind on the ice?

They're replacing the team logo on the helmet. That's extremely lame. Subtle enough to not distract while watching a game, but it looks stupid up close.

I don’t see the problem with the additional ads on helmets. They gotta make up for the loss of ticket revenue somehow. As a season ticket holder, whatever they gotta do to keep me from getting bent over when they do allow fans back, I’m all for it. Couldn’t care less if it’s an eyesore

I do like this rule change. I cringed every time I'd see a player try to stretch to keep the skate down - fearing pulled groins or worse. I'm sure teams are figuring out ways to exploit the rule. Seems like players will be able to carry more momentum into O zone with this.
