Something is holding up making a commitment to have the season get started. I always default to “it’s the money”. The league has leverage over the players until a plan is executed. I don’t like it, but it’s what I think is going on. League wants more $$$ concession from players.

This is 100% correct. The owners are really sticking it to the players and the fans this time around.

Got a call from my Lt today saying I have to quarantine for 14 days for coming into contact with an employee who tested positive. I'm going to go crazy staying home. Be safe!

Late night update from Dreger/LeBrun, sounds like the financials have been worked out and the league is targeting a 1/13 start date, 56 game regular season.

Just a couple of tweets, but that seems awfully specific for it not to be a major step in the right direction.

$11.5 (14%) of cap on JvR and Ghost sticks out as relatively non-producing roster spots. Hope Ghost can turn it around. Don’t think JvR can at this point. As we’ve discussed, not sure how to shed them either without dressing up a deal with something we’d like to keep.

I hate to say it because I really like the guy, but Ghost more so than JvR at this point. JvR's contract is less attractive, but he'll still probably score 15-20 goals next season. Ghost may not crack the lineup.

Still. The Flyers have come a long way when Ghost/JvR are the drags on the cap instead of the Weise/Lehtera/Macdonald types.

Yikes. That JvR deal is making things hard if we need to make moves to improve at some point. Hopefully he will have a solid season for once with us. Waiting for a response from @lasgop8 ,@Chris p Bacon in 3..2..1?

JVR at his salary as compared to Weiss salary is a worse deal for us.
