Also, I don't see how missing out on a top pair dman this year puts them on a 3-year plan again. I could see the argument that they can't compete this year without it. I don't necessarily agree, but I see it. Why would it make them 3 years out though?

My local ECHL team announced their season will start Dec 12th. Was surprised at this announcement

Yes especially since they have more dmen in the pipeline. There is also the trade deadline. They are good enough to get in then they can supplement the weak areas then. This year they weren't quite ready but that experience will be invaluable. Also a healthy Lindblom will help. Maybe Patrick too I hope...

The 3 year comment was sarcasm.

How many valuable pieces are you willing to lose for a rental versus a long term tangible part?

Shattenkirk to ANA (3x3.9). First name that really seemed like had any potential to be on the Flyers list.

Wasn't high on a Shattenkirk signing but I hope we don't sit around to long trying to make a super deal that doesn't fall through. I read up on Ristolainen and wouldn't be opposed to him. If you could add him,(money from Niskanen) and do a trade for Ghost to Winnipeg for a possible Tyson Barrie deal then we'd be in pretty good shape to.

It appears Pietrangelo is out of St. Louis. They just signed Krug. No rumors in regard to the Flyers, but I wonder if Fletcher is keeping things tightly under the radar for prying Pietrangelo to Philly?

I'm a big fan of Ristolainen. He's a big body and he plays top minutes on a shot Sacred team. His name keeps getting dumped on the trade block. I think he could be a stud on a good team. Provy and Rasmus would look nice.

I'm on board for a shot, we still need another solid dman though. I like Purdues idea of a Koivu signing to. He would make our bottom end deadly IMO.

I like Koivu. He's 37, but he can be productive on the 4th line and make our fourth line stronger. He wouldn't be expensive either imo.

Flyers signed D Derrick Pouilot a dman on a 2 way deal.700k. Obviously this is a depth move and he will more than likely spend most time in LV would be my guess.

Nate Thompson gone. Jets for a 1 year deal 700k. I like that Fletcher is being patient here and feeling this FA out. At the end of the day I think he goes with a trade rather than FA to replace Niskanen. As I mentioned before a guy like Rasmus Ristolainen would be a nice addition. It's possible someone like Matt Dumba could be dealt and Fletcher has goes with the Wild franchise?

Shit. I thought I might have been on to something there.
Our 4th line needs filling. Hopefully our youngsters will make it up to the big club next season. And hopefully Patrick will be good to go to anchor our 3rd line. I would still like to add a veteran somehow if we can make the cap work? Laine, Geudreau or whomever. Still lots of time to explore. It looks Pietrangelo will sign with Vegas.

I hope he doesn't trade for Dumba, he is heavily over rated and besides I don't see any pieces I'd be willing to part with for him unless it's JVR. Let's stick with Ristolainen or Petrangilo lol.
