Could def be true, however in the article he calls out Therien to be the one on the chopping block and I agree with him, though I would def add Yeo to that list. I also tend to agree with Las that we've had the same leadership on the ice through all these coaching changes and the on ice product hasn't improved either. That's why I say go all the way now and wash out the old and let's welcome some new before its too late again.

We're just so casual and afraid in the defensive zone. The slightest bit of pressure and we panic or cough the puck up, then leave opponents wide open in the slot. It's very difficult to believe that aside from Niskanen, we essentially have a better roster on paper than we did last season.

It's as if the entire fucking team needs to learn how to play basic team defense all over again.

Obviously the confidence of our younger players defensively is probably at an all-time low, but that can't be the explanation for everything.

Sanheim and Myers are still the primary issue with the drop in play to me. Last year they looked like they would make a good, if not great, 2nd pair. At times in the playoffs, they were better than the Niskanen/Provorov pair.

This year, they're just bad. They didn't just fail to progress, they've absolutely regressed.

I think we leave the forwards alone for offense because they're 11th in goals for per game. And 30th in goals against per game. One problem is way bigger than the other. Only the lowly Ottawa Senators allow more goals per game.
