Serena/Sharapova in round 1
Some good 1st round matches
Fognini/Opelka
Kohlschreiber/Pouille
Tsitispas/Rublev
Berrettini/Gasquet
Karlovic/Tiafoe
Shapovalov/Auger-Aliassime
Pleasant weather for the first 2 rounds.
Wish I bought tickets now. Usually it is high 80s/low 90s and very humid for the open.
Won't get above 75 on Monday or Tuesday and will be below 85 for both days of round 2
I used to go Thur and Fri. Friday is crazy though. I have my eye out for free tickets though. If I score some then I will head down. I think next year for sure. Probably will be Feds last year so dont want to miss that plus I have not seen the new updates yet.

Sabalenka and Azarenka round 1 as well. Crazy
Men's Draw:
Djokovic's Quarter:
Wawrinka vs. Kevin Anderson 3rd round: I don't have as much confidence in Wawrinka anymore. Anderson in 3.
Djokovic to the SF.
Federer's Quarter:
Federer to the SF.
Thiem's Quarter:
Thiem vs. Tsitsipas QF: This could be the match of the tournament. I'll go with Thiem in 5.
Nadal's Quarter:
Cilic vs. Isner 3rd round: Neither player has much momentum. Hard to tell, I'll go with Isner in 4.
Isner vs. Nadal 4th round: Sometimes this is a good matchup. I'm not feeling it this time. Nadal in 3.
Nadal to the SF.
My predictions are unrealistic, as I have all top 4 players advancing to the SF. Oh well.
Djokovic vs. Federer SF: I've always said I like Federer on a surface more where he can generate break points. Hopefully it plays out that way. I guess I'll do Federer in 5, if my reasoning holds to form. I don't know if it will.
Thiem vs. Nadal SF: Thiem in 4, no good reason why, just because.
Federer vs. Thiem Finals: Thiem in 4. Hopefully I'm wrong, although I like Thiem in general. If it goes to a 5th or 5th set tiebreaker, then Federer.
Women's Draw:
Osaka's Quarter:
I don't think Osaka makes it through, so I'll pick Sabalenka.
Halep's Quarter:
This section is loaded.
Stephens vs. Muguruza 3rd round: Stephens in 3.
Halep vs. Wozniacki 4th round: I'm rooting for Wozniacki because I want to see her have more success at this point in her career. Hard to go against Halep right now. Halep in 2.
Kvitova vs. Stephens 4th round: Kvitova in 2.
Halep vs. Kvitova QF: Hard to go against Halep again. Halep in 2.
Pliskova's Quarter:
I think Kenin makes it through.
Venus vs. Svitolina 2nd round: Svitolina in 3.
Barty's Quarter:
Kerber vs. Serena QF: Kerber in 2. Just her return style of game is dangerous.
Sabalenka vs. Halep SF: I guess I'll go against Halep now, just for the unpredictability. Sabalenka in 3.
Kenin vs. Kerber SF: Kenin in 3, again for the unpredictability.
Sabalenka vs. Kenin Finals: Sabalenka in 2. The US Open Womens Finals rarely has 3 setters.
Nice analysis. 1 thing though you will have to replace Anderson. He pulled out yesterday with a knee injury.
