Because saying he could be mediocre to me means that mediocre is his ceiling. And he isn’t there yet.

For the record though, if Nagy called a more balanced game plan, then Trubisky would have a much better chance of being mediocre. Calling 4.4 pass plays for every run is not exactly setting a struggling young QB up for success.

And mediocre is all Chicago needs to be a serious contender. Which is my point.

If we'd care to go by a season instead of just 1 game we could look at 2018. In the more often used QBR he was middle of pack. There are a few below I'd take over him, a few above for which I'd prefer Trubisky.

I think Nagy’s offense does a great job scheming guys open.

There are not 10 QBs I would take Trubisky over. Even mediocre QBs like Dalton and Flacco could excel in Nagy’s offense. I do not think his numbers tell the whole story.

agree, it's not just numbers but QBR that had him 4th as I'm sure you know is a bit more advanced than the more well known QBR.
