Let me phrase it differently: Why would a star player who just joined a new team play in the preseason?

To get used to teammates but that is kinda the point of practice. I think he will play a game or 2 but that is all. Not like PG-13 can play preseason so like @Mecca said, the Clippers preseason is basically during the season. There will be an adjustment period for like a month or more once PG is playing.

Preseason is months long.

There is/was no urgency to put a guy with a injury history on the floor before he's ready.

But, I don't care enough to keep debating it.

I'm not trying to argue/debate.

I'm literally just asking what Kawhi's situation is, that's it.

If that Clippers don't want to play him, that's cool. They know a fuck-load more about dealing with these kind of situations than I do.

Load management for the first 2, injury the last 2.

If Durant can come back around the playoffs, and is decent they are by far the best team in the east...Possibly the entire nba

They are kind of the anti-Clippers.

Got 2 of the top free agents without having to sacrifice the present nor the future.

Health is the only thing that can hold them back....outside of that cry baby shit they both tend to do.

But, you had defenders at the 4 or 5 and unstoppable offensive players.

LeBron, Curry, even Dray could get their own shot or create for their teammates.

Clippers don't have a great playmaker on the roster, nor anyone that can do anything with the 76ers Frontline.

It's a problem.

Only a minor one, IMO.

The Clippers have the best player in the league and 3 of the 6 or 7 best perimeter defenders in the league.

There aren’t that many teams positioned to take advantage of the Clippers’ weakness there, and teams like the 6ers have matchup challenges on the other end too.

I would be more concerned about the health of George and Leonard.

The Jets and Dolphins are in competition for worst team in the League.....at least the Giants have Jones playing pretty well for a rookie.....we'll see if he can continue it.

Jets are way better than the Redskins and Bengals.

Once Darnold comes back they will be able to win a few games. But with Luke Falk they are probably at a similar level.

The Lakers shut lebron down because there was nothing left to gain from him playing.

Kawhi is completely new to the team, to the system and to his teammates. Yeah he might be one of the best players in the game but unless you get on the court you don't know whats going to happen.

Lebron and AD played like 17 minutes each a couple of days ago. Not exactly a strain.

From what I've just been told Kawhi actually has practiced. So that kinda answered my question. I expect him to play at least the last couple of preseason games, even if it is only for 10-15 min.

They have 82 games to integrate Kawhi.

No I get it. I just noticed he didn't play in the last preseason game, and since I don't really follow the clippers closely just wondered if he might have gone down.
