I agree.

Never going to complain about gaining 3 cheap young players and a pick.

Next season is a total rebuild and you can see what they do....I liked it and not just because it helped us land AD.

Yep. Best case, 1 or 2 of them develops into something. Worst case, they don't and you cut them loose without having paid much.

Brogdon and Simmons both need the ball in their hands....Simmons is the de facto PG....

Brogdon does not need the ball in his hands.

He is the definition of a high quality role player. Good on both ends, does a little bit of everything offensively and is very low maintenance.

What are the odds the known Lakers haters on this board will try to rip us Lakers fans a new one if we don’t get Kawhi because, and I quote “We all knew Kawhi was going to the Lakers”

Still think he stays in Toronto but it’s fun to hope and dream

it is...

and i'm doing my damndest to temper my expectations, but let's face it. which of us as Lakers fans would hate seeing a superteam around here...ESPECIALLY when our detractors have had a little time to kick us around for a bit...?

i'm gonna go with none...

If they add Leonard, I'd make Kuz their super sub off the bench.

Not sure I like that.

Kawhi, LeBron, Kuz and AD is an extremely long, skilled and athletic 2-5.

That is a thing of beauty. Don’t buy in to the narrative that Kawhi and Lebron play the same position.

They don’t.

LeBron is a point forward primary ball handler, and Kawhi is a wing that can handle the ball, but is just as dangerous playing off of it. Kuzma is the ideal stretch 4 to fit with those 2.

If we get Leonard, we won't have much of a bench.....bring Kuz off it and sign a vet guard to put in the starting lineup even if it's just for 18-20mpg aka a ghost starter.

Kuz won't want to come off the bench. He is playing for a huge extension

He will have a better opportunity to score off the bench than in a starting lineup with James, Leonard, and AD.

He'll do whatever the coaches tell him to do.

Nah.

I get wanting to play Kuz with the second unit, but bringing him off the bench limits his production opportunities and his minutes.

Start him so he can be a shooter playing off the stars, but stagger his minutes so he gets to be the guy in a second unit rotation also.

true. even as a starter you don't have to give him an abundance of minutes...
