Been away for a while so I couldn't really comment.

It's a real damn shame. I was hoping for a bounce-back season from him and hoped he'd be the Lakers 3rd star. As much as he's a headcase, I've always wanted to see him in purple and gold. Hopefully he might get one final chance next year.

As for is replacement, I've heard both Dwight and Noah being named. In all honesty either one would probably only get a few minutes backup behind Javale McGee, who I now assume is going to start. They'll take over the role Tyson Chandler basically had last year and either one would be an improvement.

No way in hell should McGee start over a healthy Dwight. He avg 16 & 12 the last time he was healthy

Oh I completely agree. But he needs to be fully healthy first.

Either way, training camp will determine who starts.

Oh please, God, let this happen.

Do you remember all the Shit Lakers fans talked about Howard when he left for Houston?

I don't just mean on this site.

I was still living in Cali at the time and they skewered this guy.

They must really be desperate for this to even be a consideration.

Not because of his injury, talent.

He can still be productive if he stays in his lane.

But, because of his reputation.

Just last Summer he was getting obliterated for being a closet pole smoker.

I still give the guy shit. Fuck Dwight Howard.

But it's not like the Lakers have many options left. He's probably the best big man left out there.

No other team made an offer.
Both TT and LeBron knew they had Gilbert by the balls so there was no need to let go.

To reiterate, wasn't this holdout before he had the decent numbers in the Finals?

Next summer will settle it, but I'm fairly confident how it will play out.
you said he got what he asked for. He did not.
You think Lebron only wanted to keep him because of Klutch which is silly.

You know the Cavs paid what they wanted?
Link?
They settled on amount that would satisfy TT and Klutch vs risk LeBron leaving and using them not keeping TT as an excuse for him leaving.

Its funny that when TT is overpaid, because of the market it is an ok thing, but when Riley did it, it was because he was a terrible GM.
I'm going by your link....the one that said TT waned either a max deal or a 3 year deal and the Cavs gave him neither.

The Cavs overpaid TT to win a title.....the Heat did it to be average.
