then what does your starting lineup look like?

its extremely hard to nail down for the Lakers.

I gotta say- i think its likely McGee starts at center just because Davis has whined in the past about playing center. While i think Davis playing center is what would be best for the Lakers, i dont see it happening- at least not early on.

PG: ?
SG: Green
SF: LeBron
PF: Davis
C: McGee

i mean, i think you want Bradley off the bench....

I think that there are a ton of good point guards in the league and that Pelinka not finding at least a moderate one is his biggest failing of the offseason.
Positionless basketball....

If not Faried....Amir Johnson or Noah would be decent signings.....but Faried is way better than both.

Well no doubt. It's a hypothetical. Not only don't they have the money, but if you were not aware TT is also not a FA.

I'm saying if they had the cash they'd have signed TT at $18 mil over Cousins at 3.5

Why the hell is TT even in the discussion? If he were an FA, he wouldn't be getting $18.5 million from anyone, so that doesn't belong in the convo.

Even if someone would give him that much, he's not an FA, so it still wouldn't matter.

Faried is way better than nobody. Its why he does not have a team and no one wants to pay him
Faried avetaged 13ppg and 8rpg after he was picked up last season.

You're an idiot.

If Faried played for the Cavs....somebdy would have his fathead on the ceiling for target practice.

oh yah thats why he was such a hot commodity on the free agent market this summer. LOL...he was too good. Teams just thought too much of him. LOL.

get real DJ. Just because a player has tons of opportunity and puts up stats in limited games/minutes does not mean they are actually GOOD. I mean- you watched JaVale Mcgee all of last year you should know that better than anyone! lol

what part of - no one wants him and he is a free agent for a reason do you not comprehend?

I mean, Ed Davis has a team.

Faried is fine as a guy that plays to the back of your rotation/bench but by no stretch of the imagination is he a good NBA player at this point.

There is a very very good reason he is sitting out there in free agency right now.

Use your brain.

Faried is a better option than TT...cheaper and doesn't come with off the court drama. While giving you better production if he gets the same PT.

Faried played 24 games with Houston....limited? That's almost 1/3 of the season.

No, that's Cousins in 8 games in playoffs when you sd he sucked. Can't have it both ways.

I understand majority, but more recent matters.
you get we aren't talking major injuries here and he probably misses a lot less time if they were in a playoff push?

You aren't trying to say TT is even close to the same as Cousins when it comes to their current health are you?

Honestly, I'm not sure what to think of Faried.

Looking at last year. He played a total of 74 games, but for 3 different teams.

His numbers in Toronto and Houston (played 62 of his games for those 2 teams) looked pretty solid. He averaged about 12 points and 8 rebounds in around 22-23 minutes per game. That's not bad production.

But, in his 12 games in Brooklyn, he only played about 9.8 minutes per game.

He's also only 29, so it's not like he's old.

But, as you point out, no one has even made him an offer, including the Lakers, who have been holding an open roster spot for the entire off-season.

You seem to be a reasonable Laker fans so curious what you'd say to this.

If LA had $20 mil+ in cap room and could have spent it only on TT for $18 mil or cousins for 3.5 mil who do they sign (obviously without knowing Cousins would get hurt)?

I disagree with this. I think Cousins did get a better deal because of the injury he suffered in the playoffs. If he never got hurt in the playoffs, I think he get a better deal
agree, but think that is what he was saying and why he only got 3.5 mil.
