i dunno, love injured his thumb, had his shoulder hurt and his wrist hurt and toe---and various other injuries that are all relatively small when compared to having your knee rebuilt

No, because we compared Klay to Doncic. If we were comparing Klay to Collins or Meyers Leonard Klay could be out 2 years and he's still be ahead.

they cant he makes like 16M next year and its not like they get any cap space from cutting him.....dude is there for all of next year before he is shoved out the door as fast as humanely possible the following year

He'd be quite the asset to a contender. He's still capable of producing at a high level, brings championship experience, all nba caliber defense and is at worst an expiring contract. There's value to be had.

Foot problems are to big men, what ACL's and Achillies are to perimeter players. Foot injuries caused Yao to retire. I mean granted he's much bigger than Love, but still foot injuries can be debilitating for big men.

He would have gotten a 2-3 year deal though making more over the term.

If I am Phili, I am seeing if I cant get them to throw Paul and draft picks at me. Not Capella (zero fit) and Bledsoe (too one dimensional) wouldn't interest me in the least.

I know Paul has an outrageous contract....but he is still a very good player and would be the perfect thing Phili needs. They lost in the playoffs this year because they didn't have a Paul type PG on the roster. Paul solves that. Hell they lost in the playoffs because they didnt have a single PF on the roster. He does more for that team than Butler does.

But that is only if I can get Harris back too. But it seems like it would all fit to me at a quick glance. Probably spend the last year or two of Paul's contract in the tax but you can set things to clear up the year after he leaves and still have time to bring in a superstar to replace that offseason in order to convince Simmons and Embid to re-up.

CP3 might still be a good player, but this is probably going to be the last year he'll be productive.

Do you really want a 36 year old PG on the team who will probably sustain an injury at some point in the season, earning $45m?
