Well that and being a total asshole to everyone. And also breaking the law to secretly record his assistants and front office members to find out if he had enemies on his own team.

Embiid and Capela would be an interesting combo, @flyerhawk .

Shades of Tim Duncan and David Robinson... ? ... (in a different era that has moved away from that sort of thing)

I feel like the Sixers would flip Capela to a 3rd team for sure. Him and Embiid wouldn't work well on the court at the same time and that'd be too much money to pay Capela to essentially serve as a back up. They could probably get some decent role players for him too

Has there ever been a locker room as bad as a Paul, Butler and Harden locker room would be?

He should lose voting privileges

Remember those odd All-NBA votes? Dwyane Wade, Luke Doncic, Danilo Gallinari and Andre Drummond on the second team, Marvin Bagley III on the third team.

One voter – Kennegh Lau of BesTV, a Chinese outlet – is responsible all those. His ballot:

First team

G: Stephen Curry (Warriors)

G: James Harden (Rockets)

F: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks)

F: Kevin Durant (Warriors)

C: Joel Embiid (76ers)

Second team

G: Klay Thompson, Klay (Warriors)

G: Dwyane Wade (Heat)

F: Danilo Gallinari, Danilo (Clippers)

F: Luka Doncic, Luka (Mavericks)

C: Andre Drummond, Andre (Pistons)

Third team

G: Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers)

G: Donovan Mitchell (Jazz)

F: Marvin Bagley III (Kings)

F: Pascal Siakam (Raptors)

C: Rudy Gobert (Jazz)

Butler isn't a spot up shooter type either. He works mainly off the dribble, which means he's another guy in that offense that needs the ball to create his offense. Does anyone think these things through? It's as if they're trying to prove the rest of the league wrong by doubling down on their previous mistake. Butler would certainly help defensively, but how much do they lose in rim protection?

It benefits them because instead of Butler just walking away as a FA, Philly gets something back. This idea is based on Butler not wanting to just sign back up with Philly.

If Butler walks away, Philly has cap space. Although, I'm not sure what makes that Rockets team implode faster; helping with the trade or not helping?

They can't afford to give Leonard what he would command as a premier FA.

They can get to virtually the same number everyone else other than Toronto can offer.

I'm not sure why they help them unless they just can't sign anyone better than 2 of those 3 Houston players. They can sign Harris and another max FA or AS type of player. Plus, not sure Capela really fits in with their system, don't see much of a need for him.
