Your boy Herro looks really good.

He can do more off the bounce than I thought. Definitely has to work on his defense, but the kid can score in a variety of ways. He plays with a swagger too. Love that.

Like Ive said, never heard of him, but yes, I think Heat hit a home run.

Don't watch summer league really but yeah everything I been reading on Twitter from heat writers about Herro been great. Hard to take much from summer league but it is much better to look good than bad because competition will only get better in preseason and when the real thing starts in October.

I don’t care how a guy performs as much as I just want to see how he competes and if he appears to play with confidence.

Herro has done that and shown some skills I did not know he had.

If they do end up trading a bunch of guys for Russ, Robinson could get some minutes. Could be a cheap role player who can make some shots and play solid minutes, but not much ceiling there IMO.

I know he can shoot which is important. Turn into a specialist and you can have a solid 10 yr career off the bench

I used to get hyped for Summer League performances. Then Anthony Randolph happened, followed shortly after by Marco Bellineli. It is what it is. Jordan Poole has been doing great in Summer League as has Jacob Evans, but shit last year McCaw was averaging nearly 20 a game so take it for what it is.

Also Draymond sucked in Summer League. There are lots of other rookies who struggled in Summer League that went on to play really well in the NBA.

He can shoot. Period. Not sure what the ceiling is on that.

^ Correct.

Summer League can still be fun, though... you just have to have the right perspective on it.

It's not real life, and it's not a good predictor of the future. But you can get a feeling on some of the young guys if you know what to look for.
