It was actually pretty smart if you think about it. Lebron did the same thing in 2014. Cripple competition while making your new destination stronger.

And the way people are acting you would think he made his decision in the 3rd week of July.

His decision was made on 7/5. 1 day after KD made his decision in 2016. Much earlier than LBJ decision in 2010 and 2014.

I'm to the point where I just blame anything NBA related on LeBron. It's easier that way.

Hey, I wasn't blaming Lebron or bashing him. As a Heat fan, I was pissed at how he left us and how the free agent market dried up by the time he went back to Cleveland. But from an outside view, it was smart. Miami still had Bosh and Wade and still could've had a really good team that would challenge him in the East. Merely using Lebron's situation as an example as Kawhi just did nearly the same thing. Strategy is key.

Like I said, I get why Lebron held off in 2014. Cripple your rivals. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Well I'm blaming him. Don't even care what the topic is.

Nah, dragging out his decision while he tried to force a trade to get a Robin was crappy IMO. He soured me a bit with that.

It's a big decision.....I see both sides.....He did what was best for him and is coming home to build his own legacy with PG on the Clippers....He can be a God if he wins a ring with the Clippers.....He didn't want to appear to be ring chase with AD and James IMO.

Going into why I think its pretty important for the Lakers to somehow find a player that can defend 4s and 5s, with picking up Bradley today, the Lakers could throw out a line up like this:

Lebron
Bradley
Green
free agent defender
Davis

If you can nail that 4 spot, that's a pretty solid grouping that can hang with teams like the Clippers. But you put Kuzma or Boogie in that spot, its a weakness that teams are going to exploit.

Burks was one of my targets I hoped the Warriors could go after. Nice pickup, IMO.

Yeah he can't shoot but he is very aggressive. Pesky defender, kinda like a Iggy 2.0 or 3.0 imo

AD has said in the past he doesn't want to play the 5 a whole lot but I do agree they need a stretch 4 who can defend. A PJ Tucker type of stretch 4 would be fire.

Same difference lol. He is that type of player. Is he anything close to Iggy...nah

Yeah, well the Warriors are bargain basement hunting right now for wings. Burks has never lived up to his potential but I like his ability to get to the hoop and his handle. If he can provide anything else consistently that will be a bonus.
