No such thing as too much depth as these teams can attest to....

GS and Boston were fine because they had really good depth.

Or we could make trades around the deadline.....

I didn't say too much depth is an issue. I'm saying if the Lakers are healthy then a player or 2 will be the odd man out.

Dudley is WASHED.

Bradley was ass for the Clippers.

But, he was legitimately injured.

He played really well for the Griz.

Horrible shooter. But, gets after it on defense and like Beverley, can guard Dude's much bigger than him.

They got shooting in Quinn, defense in Bradley.

Really good pickup.

OK, Butler was interested, yet decided no thanks......I'd prefer going to a middling potential playoff team.

NONE of these teams are supposed to be talking to other team's players before the start of free agency. Clearly, everyone was (or nearly everyone), which is laughable considering what the Lakers were getting charged with as tampering.

Again, Butler went elsewhere when the Lakers were focused on Kawhi. It was clearly evident that he would have to wait out the Kawhi decision to have a chance to sign with the Lakers. He didn't wait (which is fine with me). I didn't like Butler's fit, mostly for his age. I wanted someone closer to AD's age.

Lakers depth is looking like this. The bold is who I think is at risk of not being in the rotation if they're healthy.

PG- Rondo/Caruso/Cook
SG-Green/Bradley/KCP
SF-Bron/Daniels/Dudley
PF- Davis/Kuzma
C- Cousins/McGee

I left the rookies out because I don't think they'll play much.

If those 3 guys in bold are not in the rotation then that is still a 10 man rotation. Some solid rotation guys are going to end up as bench warmers.

I can see Daniels getting DNP-CD instead of KCP depending how he looks in camp

Actually looking forward to this year. Last year the energy around the team was weird. Lots of blame to go around for that, but the team will now be an underdog in a brand new arena. On top of that Curry gets to go full Kobe and take 40 shots a game without anyone questioning it and I'm all in.
