I was listening to the radio and they said that RW would have limited value and could be had for expiring contracts and a first rounder due to his age/contract. That he has positive value but only slight positive value.

Personally- I would value him at more than that, but thats what he said he has heard his value is on the market and that when he is traded it will not be for nearly as much as the average fan might expect. That Pistons and Heat are the two main destinations.

Either one could have him for expiring contracts and a pick or two or a young player.

If the Cavs offered their multitude of expiring contracts and Sexton they could easily get him supposedly.
Were actually talking about that on the radio yesterday. Sexton, Clarkson and TT might have been what they were thinking. No one said they thought it would happen, but idea was maybe he and Love - former teammates - want to play together.

That said, as it pertained to my last comment, I cannot see the Heat making offers but pulling out because Herro had to be in the deal.

should add the thing about the cavs expiring contracts is they are more valuable than many. Clarkson and TT could be valuable down the road to OKC if this deal actually happened, as they of course are expiring AND they are players who could help a playoff team on the court.

this is when the bullshit post would come in really handy.
What don't ya like about it? I'd also like to see the drama of CP, RW and harden on the same court on same team. no one thinks it will happen.

if they offered Sexton, Clarkson, TT OKC would jump at that. 43 million a year for the next 4 years is pretty scary for a guy that relies on his athleticism who has seen his 3 pt shooting drop.

He is sitll really good right now- i have him like top 15 player in the game at this point, but with his plummeting shooting and age and contract no one is going to give OKC a package NEAR what they got for George.

I think they might with the idea they could then ship out TT and/or Clarkson for a pick.

i was merely talking about the fact that OKC would take on CP3 under any circumstance. They are trying to get off of the money- not take on a contract thats even worse than RW's. The owner was super pissed he had to pay his big tax bill from last year. I am sure when they came to him with PG trade he wasnt shedding a tear.

Have to say if I was a Heat fan and wanted Westbrook, I cannot imagine losing Herro would be a detriment for me.

Need a dead eye shooter around Russ and Herro is that...and can do other things also.

One of the biggest failures OKC had is the inability to surround russ with shooters. A 3 pt specialist makes the game easy for him

Does he have a no trade clause?

yah you would need 3pt shooting around him and to convince him to stop shooting them so much.

Last 5 years he has gone from 2019 to 2015: 29.0%, 29.8%, 34.3%, 29.6%, 29.9%.......Involving Winslow would work since in some (very limited ways) they are similar players- (shooting wise anyway).

I have no doubt, but pretty sure tlance implied it would never happen.

That's fabulous, but we are talking about a pick in the teens who to this date has had a couple good games in Summer League.

Windler has played just as well and we could say the same about him as you did Herro, but I cannot imagine the Cavs would be in negotiations but back out because they insisted on Windler.

Good question and not sure. If he truly is good friends with Love he might not disapprove.....though doubt he' lobby for it.

Either way, cannot see him coming here.

Might be getting late, but would think a shooter or 2 could still be found if they really wanted the guy.

Yep if they added Sexton with some below average contracts that would work. I wouldnt be shocked bc Love and Westbrook played in college together but I feel the Cavs organization is smart enough to not be sucked in and give up Sexton. Plus it doesnt make a lot of sense since Garland should be at PG more. It’s tempting but then you go back and look at game film and realize it isnt worth it AT ALL.

The thing is they would not be in the top 10 lottery next year if they did this and also would not be contenders. It’s either develop young guys or trade for a star...only way for the Cavs to build a contender. RW doesnt do that for them. I mean if Garland becomes a star they could get close but still RW just isnt that guy

dont worry the Cavs arent taking on that $ in order to be the 6th seed and then have to rebuild in 2-3 yeras when RW and Love start falling aapart

Worried?
Just a question.
