OK, but the Cavs got the idea early after he left the plan should be lure him back. And even AFTER the letter he still chose to play for Gilbert again. And it worked.

Miami is a FA hotbed, Cavs are not. Has anyone said otherwise? Yet Miami is still looking to be at best a 4-5 seed in year 6 after he left. How long can they use it as an excuse?

You really think Gilbert thought he was getting James back before the lotto that year?
No chance, or he wouldn't have hired Blatt.

Once James knew they could flip Wiggins for Love is when it became a reality.

How about these...

1. Miami a destination for FAs. Cleveland is not
2. as to #3 above not exactly true, as while they got lucky with the Clipper pick being the #1 pick, their own pick had the best chance for the #1....and was the 4.
Miami is still making moves that will just make the perpetually mediocre. They will most likely be between the 6th and 8th seed and most likely take a first round ass whooping.

same old song and dance

Riley has zero clue how to build in the modern NBA--- or he has no patience because he knows hes not going to be around much longer.

At least the Cavs are trying to build a real core and get some real assets so in a couple years they can actually compete instead of just being first round fodder.

no doubt some luck, sure. But 2 of those they had the best odds. And once was a draft even if you hit you weren't getting a guy worthy of going #1.

does this mean if rebuild goes slower this time we can blame bad luck on getting the 5 pick this year?

I'd like to say that things are starting to balance themselves out now.

So you're basically doing what Phoenix is doing. How have they looked recently?

LOL the Cavs plan rarely work in today's NBA.

Good luck

Let's be real.
The Heat as well as most of the league has had slim to no chance of winning it all since James left.

For all the losing that some franchises do in order to seldom get past or even too round 2, I have no issue being competitive every year in the regular season and then let it play out.

Heat can and will get FA's over time.
They just did.
They continue to move contracts you call untradeable.

So, you can write the same thing, 1000 x, but until it happens, it hasn't, and probably won't.

@raptorlife4

We need a man on the ground. Get to that hotel that Kawhi is supposedly meeting with the Raptors at right now. If anyone asks who you are, just tell them your Sports SportsHoopla's Media Corespondent and hold your phone up like you're recording stuff

A lot of people, he left a contender in Miami to go to uncertainty in Cleveland with an owner writing a letter completely disrespecting him

Then that owner gave away his manhood and told James he could play owner until he was ready to leave again.
