Become too high profile, but was so hoping he'd replace AC on Cavs' broadcasts. Is he serious or fucking around? I know he is a jokester

All seriousness this is surprising. Never struck me as a "look-at-me" type FA who would drag this out and be the center of attention in entire NBA.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't want him, though.
All great point, but could be he doesn't want to....issue is he keeps going to teams without cap space
Good points....but what about - if true - swearing other teams to secrecy and keeping everyone in the dark?Free agency is like 60 hours old.
This is not a long time to be drawing things out. Just because most of the other big FAs has their decisions made before even taking meetings, should not reflect poorly on Kawhi.
Prior to last summer, a lot of big FA decisions took longer than 60 hours. Sometimes a lot longer.
Yep...just mentioned...unfortunately not a destination for elite FAs. Hope they can use it wisely on second level stars or maybe a deal for a top guy.Cavaliers will have 55 million in cap space next year

Haven't really looked at next year's FAs (other than AD who obviously isn't an option). Can't hurt most of the top destinations wont have room for max players. We have to sell them on potential and money

probably, but cannot rule out 3) Wants to be able to drag it out longer for his own "Decision" (none of us knows him). Of course, not that level of a spectacle.Kawhi is a very private person. He is just not the type to crave the spotlight. He barely speaks to media at all.
My guess is that swearing teams to secrecy is about 2 things:
1) trying to protect his privacy as he goes through his process
2) gauging which teams he can trust
Too bad, unless I'm forgetting, he didn't coach any elite NBA players at UM.Garland and Sexton evolving will only help recruit a star as well. I think Belien even though he might not be there long-term is a key to that as well. If he can prove he can be a great NBA coach like he was in college that can only help. Either way it will be difficult to attract bigtime FA's

at least we aren't alone at the bottom.......so we've got that going for us.
We should just round out the bench by bringing in Miller, Mullin, Kobe, and Allen.....

Agree, but who knows? Seemed at least a little diva-ish with his injury issues in SA.I mean...
Nothing about Kawhi’s history with media makes that likely
